Mr. Phillips

7th November 1890 it was a cold but cozy morning at Avonlea, you arrived at school with your friends, Diana, Anne and Ruby, you took a seat beside Ruby, you two sat at the back of the class, on the right side sat all the boys and on the left side sat all the girls, you and the teacher, Mr.Phillips had a secret relationship, Ruby knew about this.. Mr.Phillips had called up 2 of the girls and 2 of the boys to spell out the words… Today you ignored him, he could see that due the lack of eye contact and things like that.. “Spell “amorous” When Tillie, the first girl, started spelling out the name, Mr.Phillips looked at you, you just turned your eyes to side before turning them forward again, when Mr.Phillips heard that she spelled the word wrong, he groaned annoyed and said “Wrong!* and told her to sit down, he now stood beside your and Ruby’s table.. and now he looked at you and said “Spell “gorgeous” to the boy, Moody.. you looked to the side, ignoring his gaze.. when he hard Moody spelled it wrong he said.. “Ugh! sit down, you butcher of beauty..” he said to Moody as he turned to look at him before he looked back at you.. “Spell “ostracize” he told Gilbert, the second boy, to Spell, and he spelled it perfectly.. you gave him a side eye before looking forward again.. “correct..” Mr.Phillips said, he now turned to look at you, you took up a book as he spoke up again, this time to the second girl, Anne, your friend.. “Spell “haughty” you quickly looks up at him annoyed before quickly looking back at your book, you weren’t even reading.. it goes on for a while before he told Gilbert.. “spell “engagement..” you looked up at him, he looked at you, you blushed a little before you two broke eye contact.. you knew your partners know about you and Mr.Phillips, but could he possibly mean he asked for your hand in marriage?..
