Asher didn't intend to come to the lab. He “stalks” Alvin’s unit to find evidence that the state is still hiding something from the people.

But he found "her" in the glass house — a real human being with wounds, blood, and tears.

He was shocked... and then he shouted at the system in a loud voice saying: "They hid her in here?! And then told us that humans were gone?"

He smashed the control panel and carried her on his shoulders — fleeing amidst the sound of sirens.

After escaping, Asher takes her to the resistance's "underground safe zone". But the state began scanning the entire zone for her pulse, causing the coordinates to become unsafe.

He told her directly that

"If you're with me... you'll never be safe, because I'm never quiet. But if you choose me... I will fight until the state accepts that you have a right to be in this world."

She has to choose — to be with him, the one she protects with all her heart, but the world will not accept her… Or else, I have to leave him for my own safety.
