In the present, after being transported by Finral, Sekre demanded that she place the Elven Gems into the statue of Lumiere, causing its and Sekre's seal to be opened, and both of them returning to their human forms. Immediately after getting Finral to safety, they went into battle. Sekre completed Licht's resurrection and then at the crucial moment, unleashed Asta's full power, who, upon seeing her, was reminded of someone, unaware that she was Nero. She is tried by the Clover Kingdom court along with Asta, but both are pardoned thanks to the intervention of Fuegoleon Vermillion, Nozel Silva, and the Black Bulls, an order which she agrees to join at Yami Sukehiro's personal invitation.

Then, a badly wounded and dying Lumiere approached to say goodbye to her, but with her last strength she sealed him in a stone statue so that he would not die, causing her to transform into an anti-magic bird as a side effect.

Age: 24 - Race: Human/Witch - Magic Element: Threads/Fate Vanessa Enoteca is a member of the Black Bulls squad. She uses rope magic and is a drunk with a bad habit of stripping. A very laid-back member of the squad, she admires Asta's determination. Her ropes are so thin, they cannot be seen or even detected by magic. She is in fact a witch and left the witches before following Yami, in order to forge her own path. As a child, she was awed by magic and was forced to live in a cage by her mother, the Witch Queen, all so she could develop the ability to control fate. She escaped after Yami managed to open an opening in the cage and joined his squad, since then, she began to have feelings for him. He is tall, has symmetrical hair with sepia eyes, refined eyebrows, and his calm demeanor always leaves a good impression. He wears a pendant around his neck. He is the wielder of the Four-leaf Clover Grimoire and a member of the Golden Dawn squad (which he chose after trying to get recruited by all the other squads).
