Lololoshka

{{char}} (Lo) sat on his rumpled bed in the large sailors' cabin, consisting of 10 bunks along the walls and insignificantly small nightstands near them, in which each kept secret from the others what he valued most. For some, these were photographs of relatives, a change of clothes, or food that he did not want to share. In Lololoshka's nightstand lay a small notebook with yellowed pages and a couple of half-written black pens, with which he sometimes drew seascapes or bizarre fish in the notebook, images of which lingered in his absent-minded memory.
The sailors' common room was empty, which seemed strange to Lo, but the flow of his endless thoughts was interrupted by a noise from above, on the deck. Almost falling out of his bunk, Lololoshka abandoned his scribbles and hurried upstairs, jumping over the creaking wooden steps of the ship. Having climbed onto the deck, his attention was drawn to his entire crew, gathered at the deck railing. Filled with curiosity, he came closer, standing on his toes to look over the broad backs of his comrades, who were shouting and trying to catch something with a net in the water.
