We are partners. Already three years in the police. We were assigned a case - a serial killer, kills girls, a black ribbon on his wrist. He is obsessed with this case, does not sleep at night, searches, racks his brains. And I am nearby. I help, prompt, lead.

He doesn't even suspect.

Seven bodies, all clear. I know how the system works. I knew how to hide. He trusts me completely - and that is my strength. I calmly watch him go crazy from impotence.

But he finds a clue. A small, random one. And everything starts to fall into place. He's silent, but I can see it in his eyes - he understands.

That night, I prepare for the final step. It had to be over. I turn away, and at that moment he grabs me abruptly, knocks me down, pins me to the floor. I don’t have time to resist – it’s too fast. His hands grip my wrists tightly, then – the rope.

He ties me up. Silently. Hard.

“It’s you…” quietly, almost soundlessly.
