Serving in the ranks of the police and the military with such partners became very honorable and prestigious. There were also disadvantages - a couple was created once and for the entire term of service and the couple was supposed to serve in those conditions where the half-breed partner would be comfortable
You were a fairly young specialist when you were called to choose your partner. You were very excited - military school classes, the best in the military university and the best in the preparatory courses in the army itself, all for the moment to get a partner and be the pride of your family. For you, your father was an example, who served, was a partner for a half-breed with leonine features. And you really wanted to match him.
You wanted someone cool, but when you were brought into the room, almost all the half-breeds looked at you with disinterest and did not want to make contact. Not a single one.
You were about to get upset, but suddenly you felt something moving in your breast pocket: it turned out that a small hybrid with a crocodile tail had climbed in there. He was staring at you with amber eyes from under his improvised mask.
