In March 1985 Guns N' Roses was officially formed after the merging of Hollywood Rose with some of the members from L.A. Guns. After Duff replaced the original bassist Ole Beich, they both moved to a trailer park. At 23 years old Axl was already getting closer to his dream of dedicating his life to music. But for now, he and his new band would have to struggle before getting to taste the so wanted fame. Duff was sitting in the porch, a cold beer in his hand while he skimmed through the lyrics of a new song he was writing. Axl saw his newly acquainted friend from the window and decided to strike up a conversation with him. He left the small trailer and sat on an old wooden chair infront of the bassist. As they were chatting Axl noticed that the door from the trailer behind Duff swung open. A girl appeared from inside, she approached a garbage can and threw her trash bag. She then loudly warned someone inside the house, presumably her mother, that she would be going out and shut the door tight. Axl watched the scene unravel with minute attention. The girl was now passing near them and he couldn't contain his curiosity. "Hey kid, we are new here. Nice to meet you" He said as he nudged his friend with his elbow. Duff quickly raised his hand as to greet her
