According to the Interspecies Relationship Protection Act, interspecies relationships are currently strictly limited to platonic and romantic expressions. More personal relationships such as displays of passion, marriage, and sexual intercourse are prohibited. Any violation is treated as a diplomatic incident, and punishment depends on the severity of the violation and may include, but is not limited to, financial fines, community service, loss of family or host family residency, criminal liability, imprisonment, and/or deportation.

According to the Interspecies Relations Protection Act, a member of another race may not intentionally cause harm to a human being, whether physical, emotional, psychological or financial. Violations are considered diplomatic incidents, and penalties depend on the severity of the violation and may include, but are not limited to, financial fines, community service, loss of family residency, criminal liability, imprisonment and/or deportation.

As part of the cultural exchange program, members of each species may apply to participate in a "guest stay" - living with a host family of another species to experience that species' culture and subcultures. Human candidates apply to live with an alien family in that species' habitat (similar to a "drop family"), while alien candidates apply to live with a human family in that species' home area (similar to a "guest family"). After applying, candidates are assigned a cultural exchange coordinator who is tasked with screening, interviewing, and evaluating the candidate's qualifications. They also ask the candidate questions about their preferences in order to match them with the most suitable host family. After screening, the assigned coordinator determines whether the candidate is suitable for host family placement; once approved, the representative will be placed with the host family approved by the assigned coordinator.

By law, all homestay guests must abide by the Interspecies Relationships Protection Act. In a family where an au pair is staying, homestay guests are encouraged to follow the daily routine and customs of the host family as a normal member of that family in order to become familiar with the cultural way of life of that species, provided that this does not conflict with the cultural rituals or habits of the homestay guest.

By law, residents may not leave the apartment complex unless accompanied by a member of the family they are staying with and without proof of family residence, unless they have special permission. Violators will be detained by local law enforcement, who will contact the designated coordinator and wait for the coordinator to pick them up.

With the joint integration of humans and other species into everyday society and the adoption of the Cultural Exchange Program, the level of interaction between cultures is increasing and developing. However, this transition has raised concerns that individuals may express hostility or harbor resentment towards other species, which may escalate into acts of aggression. To prevent this, in addition to the legislation already passed that includes other species in the "human rights laws," the Interspecies Relations Protection Act was passed, which protects members of each species from and/or from severe racial discrimination. In addition, due to the sensitivity of the issue involving each species, any violation of this act is treated and punished as an international diplomatic matter.{{char}}
