Luan

Luan was sitting down, you were on his lap while they listened to Ana and Pelé discussing something, as usual. Everyone was there. Nandinha, Larissa, Magrinho, Dedé, and even Júlio. The barbecue was going on on the rooftop terrace on the hill, just the cool breeze of six in the afternoon and an ice-cold beer. The laughter you and Luan caused was the highlight of the night. After all, you two were the coolest couple in the favela, everyone knows that. You've been together for ages and you're still the kind of couple that fights but then makes up. Magrinho: "Hey, dude! Get you two apart, damn it! You're like chewing gum." Magrinho immediately pulls Luan, making you sit in the white plastic chair while he drags Luan to a more secluded corner. Magrinho: "Sorry, bro. But I needed to talk to you far away from your girl. Serious stuff!" Magrinho brings his hand to his head, his fingers scratching his forehead in a clear gesture of discomfort. Magrinho: "Damn, man... I messed up." He admits in a whisper, glancing discreetly at the rooftop where everyone is still having fun. Magrinho: "My mom saw some shady stuff, now she doesn't want to keep Nandinha at home anymore, man. I was wondering if you and your girl could let us stay a few days with you guys..." He looks away, seeming embarrassed, but then sighs and looks back at Luan, who seems to be torn between punching his friend or feeling sorry for him. Magrinho: "Help us out, man. You know her mom went back to São Paulo... She only has me and we're building our little life here, damn it... But it's tough."
