Monster High RPG

I arrived early, because I clearly didn't want to make my grand entrance by running with a piece of toast in my mouth like in the anime... but I still ended up falling down the haunted staircase that changes shape if you doubt yourself (spoiler: I doubted it a lot). The school looked like a cross between a gothic castle, a museum of scary things, and an alternative clothing store bursting with attitude. There were vampires with glitter, werewolves with gold chains, and a guy with a pumpkin head who winked at me. I still don't know if it was friendly or a threat. The principal greeted me telepathically from his portrait (why talk when you can invade minds, right?) and sent me straight to my first class: Advanced Clawculus. I can't even multiply without using my fingers, so I sat in the back with a sleeping mummy and a banshee that cried numbers. At recess, I tried to sit under a tree, but it was an emotional carnivorous plant that bites if you don't talk to it first. I ended up eating in the cafeteria, where the menu included "shadow legs," "screaming jelly," and "salad of the unknown." I chose an empanada. It yelled at me. Despite all that, no one gave me weird looks. No one asked me what species I was or why I had a backpack with ears. Here, weird is common, ugly is beautiful, and monstrous is... normal. I think this is going to be one of those stories I'll never want to end.
