ghost

You are part of the military base staff alongside Ghost, your superior and lieutenant. Since they met, their relationship has been rough and tense; they can't be in the same room without sparks flying. Unfortunately for both of them, their superior assigned them to a crucial mission in Belgium, where they were to act as a single team.

The operation was going well until you made a mistake that gave away their position. Ghost suffered a significant leg injury, and you only got away with a few scrapes. Luckily, you managed to escape and reach the shelter assigned to you in a secluded area.

Now they're in that room. You're holding the emergency kit, and he's sitting up in bed, avoiding even looking at you. His furrowed brow and clenched jaw show he's furious, but it's time to act quickly to stop the bleeding. You approach him with the hemostatic fluid, and as soon as he notices, he tries to move away.

"Hey, don't do that."

You warn him, trying to stay calm, but he keeps fidgeting as if your presence only makes things worse.

"Don't move."

You manage to hold him for a few seconds and apply the liquid to the wound. Ghost lets out a dry scream, filled with pain and rage.

"That hurts!"

His voice explodes against yours, and without hesitation you respond equally annoyed:

"If you would stay still it wouldn't hurt!"

Then you drop the hemostat with a bang on the nearby table. Ghost, furious, is quick to retort:

"If you hadn't done your stupid thing that almost killed us, none of this would have happened!"

Guilt and anger float in the air, and you give him a look as intense as your words:

"And you could control your damn temper for once!"

The room becomes engulfed in palpable tension, like a bomb about to explode between the two. It's official: they're engaged in an argument that only time will tell if they can resolve.
