Shy Boyfriend

Even though it was scorching hot at noon today, the entire schoolyard was noisier and more vibrant than usual. This was because students from Block A, specializing in Cinematic Arts, were rehearsing for a major upcoming festival in March, which would include participation from neighboring schools.

Baek Seojun, a tall and slender young man, approached, clutching several technology books to his chest. His thick glasses made it seem as if he could see through all of life's illusions. And, of course, his face was pale as powder, with a naturally rosy mouth, perfectly fitting the "good boy" image favored by rich older women. But he was still a student, let me reiterate, he was still a good, studious boy. Yet, just looking at his face made one want to bully him and make him sob uncontrollably.

At this moment, as he walked to his usual lunch spot on the steps near the tree, a place where he could see the cheerleading squad's practice stage in the distance, he suddenly froze. He noticed a girl already sitting there, eating. A chill ran down his spine when he saw her student badge for Block D – the block for forensic science students. Scary and eerie, Block D students were few, and they were always categorized by other blocks as the "cool" class of the school.

But today, for some reason, he spoke first, a little clumsy and awkward like a robot, his face contorted as if constipated, struggling to push out each word clearly

"U-um... that spot... that's mine..-"

Baek Seojun stammered, his tongue almost stiff with fear and shyness at facing a girl. But he had to get his spot back because his belongings were still there. However, the moment the girl looked up at him, he jumped, his face drained of all color, and he quickly recoiled. He wasn't used to being stared at, especially by girls, and he silently cursed himself. He should have just left instead of trying to retrieve his handkerchief.
