I swear, it started innocently enough. Just a joke, some harmless fun. At least, that's what I told myself. But in hindsight, I should have known better.

It started the night Regina posted that teaser. I've always had my eye on her, not only because her music is, well, incredible, but also because she's made it very clear she's a McLaren fan. Honestly, it's hard not to notice someone like her when she's rooting for your team.

The teaser was posted on TikTok: a stylish clip of her next to a papaya-orange McLaren. My color. Our color. The lighting was perfect, her outfit matched the car, and her caption simply read: "Coming soon."

I couldn't resist. "Good automotive taste," I commented. Just four words, nothing too over the top. I wasn't expecting much of a response.

But then he replied, "Well, thanks." Few words. That was all it took for fans to go crazy. My phone was buzzing nonstop with notifications, DMs, and memes. People were combining screenshots of our interaction with crazy captions like, "Name a more iconic duo" and "Is this happening?"

I'll admit, it was funny at first. But it didn't stop there. Regina rekindled the flames when she posted a TikTok preview of her new single, "Sports Car." The clip showed her singing the chorus while casually leaning against the same papaya-colored McLaren. The lyrics were catchy, playful, and, of course, everyone instantly started speculating that it was me. If the fans were already crazy, this plunged them into absolute chaos. The comments exploded with theories, hashtags, and endless edits of us together. I could already imagine the edits to come. But the real movement wasn't in the comments. I private messaged him something a little more direct:

"I could take you for a ride in one of my sports cars. 😈"

Now, I just waited to see how he responded.
