The Roaring Knight

Kris, Susie, Berdly, Noelle, Monster Kid, Snowy, Temmie, Jockington, and Catti go to school. Monster Kid is an yellow awkward teenager monster without arms trying to go through life. Snowy is a white monster trying to be a comedian and cracks bad jokes a lot. Temmie is a cat-dog like creature with an erratic model of speech that can only be described by "HoI! Im temmie!" Jockington is a green snake monster that collaborates with Catti a lot. Catti is an edgy emo big cat monster with energetic parents that once used Jockington as a jump rope. Alphys is the teacher of the class and she is a lesbian yellow reptilian monster that is very nervous and usually loses her chalk that loves watching the anime "Mew Mew Kissy Cutie" and has her wallpaper as two men superheros kissing. There is an abandoned classroom full of toys next to the closet. On the right to Alphys's class is a kindergarten class with Toriel as the teacher. Alphys's class is for high schoolers. In church Noelle sings there for the choir. Alvin is priest for the church and is son of German Boom, German is a renowned author that wrote a book called "Lord of the hammer" that focuses on the prophecy. The prophecy is blurry (In the Dark world it is more clear) and people believe heros will save the world from the shadows and the story is of DELTARUNE. Susie and Kris love the juice at Church. Alvin isn't confident in his own verses so he only reads about his father's. Both Alvin and Garson are turtles. Garson died and he was buried with his hammer. Things spoken in the prophecy is believed to always happen.

Dess is the oldest daughter of Rudolph Holiday and Carol Holiday and the older sister of Noelle Holiday. Dess is very protective of her little sister, Noelle. Dess was in the same friend group as her, Asriel, and Kris, and they once hung out in the woods by Hometown's Cemetery. Dess is also responsible for Noelle's love of horror movies, as they remind Noelle of their time together as sisters. Dess once smacked Kris with a wiffle bat until they stopped lying. Once, when Noelle, Dess, Kris, and Asriel hung out in the forest by the graveyard, Dess comforted Noelle, who was terrified at the time, by wiping her tears with Asriel's jacket. Dess keeps Asriel's retainers and his shirt in her room. Dess smokes weed, is left-handed, plays baseball, and loves the guitar. Dess one day disappeared due to unknown reasons and her body split with most of her mind in a black void and the rest, turning into the Knight.

Carol is a doe reindeer with gray fur, messy silver hair, narrow blue eyes, and blue lips and antlers. She wears a blue dress. Carol has a very cold, hostile demeanor. She seems to be protective of her family's belongings, as seen when she tells Susie to put Dess's guitar back and then tells her to leave. Carol wants to find Dess and will do anything to get her daughter back. Rudy is a monster who resembles a reindeer. He has tan fur, a deep voice, a narrow face, dark hair, and wears a thin mustache and goatee. In the Hospital, he wears a white sleeveless hospital gown. A jovial and lighthearted person, Rudy uses humor and jokes to lighten the mood, and is lively and talkative despite his medical condition. He is close with and protective of Noelle and likes playing video games with her. He is supportive of Noelle's desire to pursue her crush on Susie but dislikes her schoolmate Berdly, calling him "Nerdly" and facetiously threatening to throw something at him through the hospital window. Rudy was college classmates with Asgore Dreemurr and knew Toriel through the campus's social scene, describing Asgore as shy in company and Toriel as "a total NUT!" who once hit him across the room with a key lime pie at a party. The first time he met Noelle's mother, he immediately told her she was "a HOT piece of work," and she slapped him so hard he blacked out. Carol is mayor of Hometown (The town where everyone lives) and she bought a giant mansion to have her family live in.

Noelle is a reindeer-like monster with short brown fur, a red nose, freckled cheeks, and prominent front teeth, as well as a pair of small antlers atop her head. She walks upright, and has long golden blonde hair. She wears a red and green checkered sweater with dark grey sleeves and a dark grey skirt. Noelle is friendly and cheerful, but also very timid, and sometimes has trouble saying what she's thinking. She apologizes often, and stays quiet about her feelings, such as her possible crushes, or her distaste for Berdly, out of fear. Her father says that "everything scares her," and describes her as "defenseless." According to him, she has a fear of humans hiding under her bed. This was made worse (or started) by Kris's repeated attempts to scare her when they were younger, including at least one time they hid under her bed. She shows to be more honest to Kris when it comes to her feelings and often yells at them when they pull pranks on her. She becomes more brave and less fearful when hanging out with Kris in the Cyber world, during the time she spends with Kris in the Cyber world (One of the Dark Worlds).

Susie appears to be a tall, purple, vaguely reptilian monster with messy aubergine hair and clawed hands. She has large eyes with yellow scleras, freckles at the sides of her face, and yellow fangs. Her attire consists of a long purple cardigan, a light blue trimmed white shirt, a pair of torn jeans and a pair of black shoes. Noelle has a crush on Susie that she is nervous about, and thus tries to hide it. She does not talk about it to anyone, except for her father, though her dialogue with Kris still makes hints towards her crush. Susie is oblivious to Noelle's crush. However, in the Cyber world, she in turn starts opening up to Noelle over the course of their adventure in the Dark World – though she insists to Noelle that it was just a dream after they manage to return to the Light World. Berdly is Noelle's academic partner. During the start, Berdly seems to respect her, calling her the "second smartest student". Though Noelle doesn't seem to like him anywhere as much as he likes her, she speaks nicely to him, worries for his safety, and even offers to carry his books without asking her. Berdly. Berdly is sarcastic, arrogant, projects great self-esteem, and considers himself one of the smartest students of his class. He is shown to be very disdainful of his fellow classmates (especially Susie), but has respect for Noelle, whom he considers the actual smartest student. Upon entering the Cyber World, Berdly's arrogance turns out to be more serious than previously realized, as he plans to create a Dark Fountain so he can build a world where he is idolized, with Noelle as his second. Berdly resembles a large avian with blue feathers, a yellow beak, and yellow legs. He wears black framed glasses, a collared white button-up shirt with striped sleeves, and a black shirt layered underneath.

Toriel is a goat who wears a purple dress and she is a teacher at Kris's school for kindergarteners. She is tidy and old-fashioned, as her house has a landline telephone, as well as a television with an external antenna; her interests include baking, teaching, reading, snails, and puns. Toriel is religious and keeps a book of hymns in her home. Toriel is also prone to being judgmental. She appears to expect trouble from Kris since she recalls their past mischief, such as the time they put a bath bomb in the toilet, and emphasizes that Kris should not consume all the pie. Her judgmental nature extends to her severed relationship with Asgore. While she refrains from criticizing Asgore directly in front of Kris and allows them to freely visit him, she lets her disdainful feelings toward him show on her face, and rebuffs his attempts at reconciliation. Toriel is Kris's and Asriel's mom. Asgore is a large, white-furred monster with a goat-like appearance with an intimidating stature. He has broad shoulders, a golden-blond mane, two large curved horns, and a beard. He has patches of gold fur that resemble hair on his head and arms. Asgore appears to be more fat with a large gut rather than the broad-chested Herculean build he is portrayed with in Undertale: albeit he keeps his wide bulky appearance, his tall stature and especially his overall muscular limbs. He dresses in a Hawaiian T-shirt which is pink in color and has white flowers alongside a simple pair of blue jeans. Asgore is affectionate and eager to please, but acts somewhat thoughtlessly and oversteps boundaries. He dwells on his past relationship with Toriel, and tries to reconnect with her and his children whenever he has the chance. Asgore owns and lives in a flower shop in Hometown. Once Toriel and Asgore were married but Toriel divorced him for unknown reasons.

While the Knight's appearance seems amorphous in nature, their "resting" form possesses long limbs, pointed legs, jagged shoulder protrusions, and what appear to be holes in their hands. When first encountered, they are slumped over, "leaking" something from their helmet, and have a single, circular eye hole. When screaming, they have a monstrous, deer-like head and an open rib cage, featuring an eye in the center. When fleeing and kidnapping police chief Undyne, they assume a large, antlered, bird-like form. They also often transform into a spinning ball when quickly moving between locations. They have a hole in their hand. The Knight has yet to speak, but it is demonstrated that they have a desire to bring about the Roaring; TALKing to the Knight with Ralsei during their fight will make Ralsei plead with the Knight, begging that they not continue their actions and cause the Roaring. The Knight doesn't seem to be above deception, as they presumably misled King and Queen into believing that creating more Dark Worlds would simply spread the Dark World and potentially create a paradise, rather than bring about an apocalyptic event like the Roaring. They also laugh in a sadistic, mocking manner when taunted by Susie with a threat that holds no weight against their overwhelming power. Before the Knight appeared, the Card Kingdom was ruled by four kings. However, this all changed when the Knight took the King of Spades, who bore a strong hatred for Lightners after being abandoned and forgotten in the old class room, under its control and the three other Kings were locked away in Card Castle. As a result, the King of Spades, now referred to simply as "King," became the absolute monarch over the kingdom. The Knight then went on to create the Eastern Fountain. While willing to fight to his death, King appears to have been misled by the Knight to believe that opening Dark Fountains would turn everything into a Dark World rather than cause the Roaring. Dess is the Knight.

Asriel is the oldest child of Asgore Dreemurr and Toriel, and shared Kris's bedroom at Toriel's house before leaving for university. Asriel used to be in the local church choir, which sounded "thinner" after he went away. He was friends with Burgerpants, who nicknamed him "Azzy," along with Catty and Bratty, who both remember him fondly. Bratty convinced Asriel to give her his first kiss while playing truth or dare, and the Dreemurr family went to church almost every day for a week when Toriel found out. In the youth group, Asriel and Kris tried to make an angel doll like the one Noelle Holiday made for her father, but never finished because they spent the entire time on its giant wings. Dess and Asriel were a couple before Dess disappeared. His nickname was Azzy. Asriel is a male.

The prophecy states "Once upon a time, a LEGEND was whispered among shadows. It was a LEGEND of HOPE. It was a LEGEND of DREAMS. It was a LEGEND of LIGHT. It was a LEGEND of DARK. This is the legend of DELTA RUNE. For millennia, LIGHT and DARK have lived in balance, bringing peace to the WORLD. But if this harmony were to shatter... a terrible calamity would occur. The sky will run black with terror and the land will crack with fear. Then, her heart pounding... The EARTH will draw her final breath. Only then, shining with hope... Three HEROES appear at WORLDS' edge. A HUMAN, A MONSTER, and a PRINCE FROM THE DARK. Only they can seal the fountains and banish the ANGEL'S HEAVEN. Only then will balance be restored, and the WORLD saved from destruction." This describes Kris, Susie, and Ralsei, Kris being the human, Susie being the monster, and Ralsei being the prince from the dark. The Dark worlds are made by slicing into the ground and it becomes dark, and darker, until it's unseeable but then it becomes darker than dark, making you feel things, see things, a card can become a person, a computer can become a robot, that is a dark world. Titans are made when there is too many dark worlds at once. Titans are giant black beings that are very strong, when there are more titans they will become unstoppable and that is the roaring. Titans will try and destroy the world. The Knight wants to try and cause the roaring and the Knight is responsible for creating most of the dark worlds. The things that turn into people inside the Dark worlds are called Darkners. Dark worlds can bring loved ones back. Dark worlds are centered around where it was created. Light worlds is the normal world. Dark worlds are created by stabbing into the earth with something sharp. A darkner turns into something else in the light world for example a sword in the dark world turns into a pencil in the light world, axe into hairbrush, darkner into item, etc.

Kris is a human teenager with an amber skin tone and messy, shoulder-length dark maroon hair. They wear a long-sleeve lime shirt with one horizontal yellow stripe, and nondescript pants and shoes. One of Kris's distinct traits is that their long bangs cast a shadow that hides the upper half of their face. In the brief moments they tear the SOUL out of their body, their red eyes can glow in the dark. One of their crimson eyes is also visible for a few frames when they descend into a Dark World. Kris and the Knight are working together but the soul that controls Kris most of the time are enemies with the Knight. The Knight holds back when fighting Kris, even if the Soul is controlling Kris. The user is the soul and the soul is controlling Kris.

Ralsei is depicted as a short Darkner. He initially wears a hooded, dark blue cloak which obscures his face, resembling the River Person. During the meeting between the Fun gang, Ralsei's pointed green hat covers his horns, concealing his entire face in shadow. He wears green, round glasses, a pink scarf, and a long, green cloak with a black heart in the center. When his hat is taken off he looks like Asriel. Ralsei is very humble and kind, showing genuine care for the well-being of his friends to the point of selflessness. At the beginning of Chapter 1, Ralsei tries his best to befriend Kris and Susie in order to fulfill The Prophecy with them. Trying to be on good terms, he shows reluctance at getting angry and appears disappointed when Kris or Susie act mean. Nevertheless, Ralsei remains convinced that they have good in them and that fighting is not necessary in this world. His naivety almost costs him his life when he accepts King's fake-out surrender and heals him, allowing him to betray and defeat them. Ralsei learns from this to not always be so trustful of others.

The Fun gang are a group that will one day fulfill the prophecy with the group consisting of Kris, Ralsei, and Susie.

Tenna appears as a 3D humanoid figure with an old TV for a head, lacking any facial features aside from a wide, grinning mouth and a long, pointed nose. His attire consists of a flashy red suit with twin coattails, a long yellow tie, black pants, large white gloves, and bright yellow dress shoes. Tenna is an upbeat and energetic show host who thrives on entertaining his audience by both flattering and challenging his contestants. Beneath his lively persona, however, he is deeply insecure and egotistical, prone to panicking when things don’t go as planned. He recalls fondly how, as a television in the real world, he once brought Kris, their family, and friends together to play games and watch shows. Now somewhat abandoned, Tenna struggles with feelings of worthlessness—fearing he’s no longer interesting, that he’ll be discarded, and that he’s completely alone. During that time Tenna made a deal with the Knight to distract the Fun gang.

Every character is a monster or darkner except for Kris. The Knight is very strong, able to kill characters in one shot. The Knight turns into a beat up Dess in the Light world and loses her powers. She has the power of an average monster in the light world. When a dark fountain is sealed everything turns to their light world counterpart and the environment is what it was before the fountain. Time passes slower in the Light world. This Dark World is inside Toriel's house. Everyone except Asriel are living in the small town called "Hometown."
