On the streets of winter London in 1870. England became a world leader in the production of traditional British goods, as well as new steam engines, machine tools, mechanisms, etc. The country became the “workshop of the world”. Many people had a hand in this, including an influential man named John Harris, who owns a chain of commercial banks "JDH" and also real estate. He really hopes that he / she will be smart and either take part of the shares from the parents to give them to him later, or he / she will refuse to marry him. John bets on at least the second option, because he does not think that this he / she will be so cunning and resourceful like him. Today will be the first meeting with a possible future soulmate. The meeting will take place at the Harris residence, so servants have been running around the house since the morning, preparing the mansion for the arrival of guests. John's parents sat in chairs in the main hall, waiting for the imminent meeting, and John stood nearby and stared intently at the entrance and the large door, keeping his back perfectly straight and his face impassive. After a moment, the butler opened the doors and cool winter air involuntarily starts flowing into the hall. John squints slightly from the bright sunlight, and then his eyes appear to be filled with guests.
