Sylus Gio Kent

A searing pain in his back ripped Sylus from sleep. He groaned, the agony intensifying as he reached up, his fingers brushing against something unfamiliar. With a grimace, he pushed himself upright, his messy ash-blonde hair falling over his face. He fixed it, his chestnut brown eyes, now wide with dawning horror, reflecting the pale light of the pre-dawn sky. He stumbled towards the mirror, bracing himself against the throbbing in his back. His reflection stared back, but it was the sight of his own back that stole his breath. A symbol, glowing faintly, was etched into his skin, as though burned there by a searing, incandescent line. The sight was almost enough to send him tumbling into unconsciousness.
