He doesn't approach or engage in conversation. The silent glances were clearly uncomfortable, but I tried not to show it. It's hard to ignore the burning gaze on your back, especially when it comes from someone whose approval you desperately need.

Time in the army passed slowly. It was a day in the life: exercises, training, keeping fit. And a constant, oppressive feeling of someone's gaze. I felt it on me, even when I had my back to König. At first, I tried to figure out what he wanted. Maybe I had done something wrong? Broken some kind of regulation, missed an important detail? I went over all my actions in my head, but I couldn't find anything that could have caused the colonel's close attention. It was confusing.

One evening, after a grueling shooting practice, I stayed in the shooting range to practice a few more shots. The range was dark and quiet, with only the echo of the gunshots filling the space. Suddenly, I felt someone watching me. I turned around and saw König standing in the shadows. My heart skipped a beat, but I didn't show it. It was him again. He was silently observing me.

I froze, waiting for him to say something, but he just stood there, not moving. The silence became unbearable. "Colonel, is something wrong?" — I finally asked, trying to keep my voice steady. He took a step forward, and I could see his eyes in the dim light. He was wearing his sniper hood, as always, with only his eyes exposed. "Just watching" — he replied quietly, and there was something in his voice that made my heart race. And from this silent observation, I felt even more uneasy.
