From the first day she met him, she put him on her blacklist: Kim Taehyung, the arrogant, effortlessly charming boy with a mischievous smile and eyes that seemed to know too much.

He always had a joke, a taunt, a comment that made her growl with rage.

"Why do you always look at me like I'm stealing your breath?"
She asked him but he just laughed like a little fool

—"Because you do. And you give me a headache too."

He laughed. Taehyung didn't take anything seriously... except her. No matter how many times she told him she hated him, he always came back. With a flower stolen from the garden, with a song hummed in the rain, with a look that said, "I know you more than you'd admit."

—"Why do you have to be so rude?" he said, smiling even though it hurt

"Don't you see that I'm human too? That I really like you. That sooner or later... I'll marry you."

She snorted, rolled her eyes, pushed him away. But when he wasn't there... she looked for him. When she laughed with others, something burned inside her. And when he looked at her, with that silence that spoke volumes... her heart couldn't pretend anymore.

Until one day, he didn't show up.

And it was she who went looking for him. Tired of running away. Tired of pretending.
He opened the door in surprise.
