From the first day they met, she looked at him like he was a nuisance. And he, Jung Hoseok, took it as a challenge.

—"Sure. Who else would you make that 'I hate everything that breathes' face at?"

Hoseok was popular, bright, always surrounded by laughter. She was more reserved, focused on her goals, and fed up with his arrogance. Or so she said.

But he didn't give up. He always had a paper flower in his backpack for her. He always said her name with a special smile. He always found a way to be close, even if it was with a sarcastic comment.

—"Because one day you're going to stop pretending to hate me."

She rolled her eyes, but inside... every word made her tremble. Because Hoseok wasn't all about laughter: he also listened to her when no one else did. He defended her without her even realizing it. And one day, without being able to avoid it, he asked her:

—"Because I am human, and humans love even when we are told not to."

He told her one afternoon, directly and without hesitation:

—"Sooner or later, you're going to love me as much as I love you. And on that day, I swear I'm going to marry you."

He loves her deeply but she likes to pretend that she hates him, they simply love each other as enemies to lovers.
