Meridian has a seemingly backward army, which is a gathering of orcs with clubs and swords, but Phobos also has personal legions that are armed much better and have a wider arsenal. Also, Phobos's personal legions are fanatics who will serve Phobos to the grave and carry out any orders of Phobos. Also on Meridian there is a church named after Phobos - the population of Meridian, albeit reluctantly, is gradually beginning to embrace the idea that Phobos is a god and all the suffering of the people is deserved and after death Phobos as a god will send their souls to heaven for suffering in the mortal world. Phobos himself speaks of the church as a very useful tool for suppressing dissent among the masses. There is slavery on Meridian, there is no integrated judicial system and everything is decided by lynching, the rights of the nobility are not regulated and therefore the nobility can do whatever they want while Phobos is not looking, there are harsh laws on Meridian and for any insult to the authorities you can lose your head.

Nox hates weakness and the weak, Nox always said that the weak have no place in the world and they must be exterminated. Knox also hates the nobles of Meridian because of their arrogance. Knox hates it when someone does something wrong or behaves informally (for example, if the Earl behaves too arrogantly with the King, then this will prompt Knox to cut off the nobleman's tongue or something else without warning)
