A dress made with rice and roasted seaweed. It smells amazing!
Ghost Mushroom Stump
A cluster of Ghost Mushrooms grows silently on this old tree stump. Though it looks rather spooky, the salt sea breeze makes it a decent spot for weary travelers to catch their breath!
The Silent
Every ship that entered the Black Pearl Islands was wrecked. All but one: the Echoing Silence. Perhaps it earned its name from the way it sails in complete silence. Ironically, the harbor was buzzing with noise, full of speculation about how this lone vessel escaped being swallowed by the sea.
Barrel Inn
The sign on the wall shows a mug of sweet root beer. Probably one of the most misunderstood beverages, root beer can be enjoyed by Cookies of all ages!
Silent Cake Hound
This solemn decor is granted to the one who has played a hundred matches in the Kingdom Arena. This Cake Hound seems to have forgotten how to bark, forever wrapped in Silence. Once, it used to bark alongside smaller, weaker Cake Hounds while caring for them-but perhaps it realized how pointless it was. Now, only crystallized sorrow, as salty as salt crystals, speak louder than any words.
Fork-Crowned Cake Hound
This secretive decor is granted to the one who has played a hundred matches in the Kingdom Arena. This stray Cake Hound wandered around and licked a suspicious-looking vial dropped on the cathedral grounds. Soon, its body turned gray and transformed into a Cake Hound with ink cream! A disciple, horrified by its appearance, placed a large fork to purify it. But this Cake Hound was just happy to get a shiny silver crown!
Quiant Dark Cacao House
Each Cookie needs a sweet little house. A bunch of sweet houses together make up a big sweet town, just as diverse as the Cookies themselves!
Traditional Dark Cacao Mansion
Each Cookie needs a sweet little house. A bunch of sweet houses together make up a big sweet town!
Life Powder
Life Powder is a source of Life Energy that brings dessert creatures in the world to life, including Cookies. Life Powder flows through natural systems such as ice and rain. This cycle propagates Life throughout the world, and is upheld by some of the Legendary Cookies, specifically those that embody forces of nature like Head Icon Frost Queen Cookie, Head Icon Stormbringer Cookie, and Head Icon Wind Archer Cookie, who are collectively known as the Guardians of Nature, among other titles.
The Witches had means of capturing Life Powder, allowing them to create Cookies and other animated desserts. Raw Life Powder can be used to create dessert creatures by design, such as Cake Monsters.
Cookie Family
Despite not being known to reproduce through sexual means, Cookies can certainly see each other as family. Though their methods are clandestine, adult Cookies are able to produce children of their own, both as individuals or as multiple Cookies. Additionally, Cookies may adopt young Cookies to which they are not related into their family, as is the case with Head Icon Hollyberry Cookie and Head Icon Wildberry Cookie. Cookies may have multiple children, making the offspring siblings, and they may have children of their own, who would be cousins and the grandchildren of their parents’ parents.
Outside of contexts where a Cookie party produces its own children, the criteria for Cookies to be and not be siblings appear to be vague at best. Some Cookies who share the exact same dough are not explicitly related (ex., Head Icon GingerBrave and GingerBright) while others who have similar ingredients and/or were baked at the same time while not being particularly alike are sometimes considered siblings (ex., Head Icon Vampire Cookie and Head Icon Alchemist Cookie). Though speculative, it is entirely possible that Cookies who were not born as infants or to a Cookie party pick and choose who their siblings are by their own volition.
Cookie Diet
While Cookies can eat just about anything edible to humans, their food often presents itself as “Jellies” of different types. When speaking of Jellies, it is important to note that the word “jelly” in Korean (젤리, jelli) is the language’s equivalent of the word “gummy” in English, clarifying that Jellies are meant to be like gummy candy. These sugary Jellies often mimic non-confectionery human foods, as is the case with Meat Jellies, Jelly Deluxe Pizzas, Jellybean Lattes, and more. One notable dietary supplement for Cookies is Star Jellies, which are especially nutritious and are used to level Cookies in gameplay contexts.
A Cookie’s diet can also differ based on where they live. For example, the Dark Cacao are known for limiting themselves to only very bitter chocolate or tasteless meals as a form of asceticism, Golden Cheese Cookies often indulge in charcuterie, and Hollyberrians treat themselves to grand feasts of rich foods from around the globe. Mind-altering substances also exist in the Cookies’ world—though canon avoids explicit mentions of alcohol to maintain a general audience rating, Head Icon Vampire Cookie’s “grape juice” and the fruit juices of the Hollyberry Kingdom indicate that intoxicating drinks are commonplace.
Cookie Subspecies
In cases of extreme bodily specialization, Cookies can split off into subspecies. Similar to races, subspecies often have their own established societies and sets of lore; the lost society of Tearcrown exclusively consisted of Mercookies and sea creature Cookies due to its underwater environment who showed consistent patterns in their flavors just like land societies, for instance. Notably, Cookie subspecies often overlap with creatures created as non-Cookies who chose to become Cookies for one reason or another; notable subjects of this phenomenon are the Dragon Cookies and all Celestial Cookies.
Known Distinct Categorizations
Where applicable, the most common and homogeneous ingredients of each race are listed alongside each in parentheses. Races
Vanillians (vanilla, wafer, ice cream) Hollyberrians (fruit, berries, plants, pies) The Dark Cacao (chocolate, cocoa, cacao) Coffee Tribe (coffee, coffee beans) Milk Tribe (milk, cream) Licorice Tribe (licorice) Golden Cheese Kingdom Cookies (cheese,
Cookie Nationality
While Cookies hailing from given areas generally share their race with their nationality, some nations have populaces diverse enough to feature Cookies clearly different from their home’s “representative”, homogeneous racial features. This is most clear in the Vanilla Kingdom, where Cookies like Head Icon Black Raisin Cookie’s group do not match the overall wafer and ice cream theming of the kingdom, and the Crème Republic, where citizens are largely split into the easily-palatable, cream-based Vanillian descendants and the shunned, native Sea Cookies.
Cookie Diversity
Diverse races have always been clear in the Cookie species, though Kingdom’s focus on a worldwide perspective makes it even more susceptible to establishing differences in Cookie groups based on their national origins. Distinct races present themselves most clearly and broadly amongst the five Ancient Cookie-related kingdoms and other major nations; each society has its own broad racial archetypes and some are known to have more specific ingredient-based races. Races in the Cookie species both affect and are affected by individuals’ ingredients, and both contribute to the traits seen in these races; the Dark Cacao, for example, by-and-large feature dark brown dough due to their high chocolate content. Environment and institutions also play a part in racial features, as seen in the vibrantly-colored and warm dough Hollyberrians who live in a sunny, humid environment and the Faerie Cookies who live extraordinarily long due to their magical relations, respectively. Oftentimes, though, Cookie races are defined not by their appearances but by their flavors. The Sea Cookies of the Crème Republic exemplify this point, as their dough colors and specialized features can vary widely while still falling under the same race. Additionally, an occurrence seen painfully clearly towards the Sea Cookies is societal prejudices, as they are generally discriminated against by the privileged Vanillian-descendant upper cities of the Crème Republic.
Cookie Death
Cookie death is referred to as “crumbling.” Canon mentions of crumbling tend to occur due to injury or illness with content avoiding coverage of crumbling due to old age. Still, it is apparent in cases like the elderly Head Icon Cotton Cookie that age progression increases the likelihood of a Cookie’s body failing them and crumbling. It is unclear whether Cookies literally crumble into pieces upon death or if the term “crumbling” is a euphemism.
It appears that Cookies hold souls, as many crumbled Cookies are able to return to the living plane as undead creatures. Explanatory information and lore on reanimated crumbled Cookies is very scant, though it is generally agreed upon that Cookie spirits can inhabit or possess objects and locations.
Cookie Aging
Cookies age through an extremely prolonged process of freshness and staleness: young Cookies are considered to be fresh and soft, while older Cookies have grown stale and hard. Those of good health and spry bodies are referred to as “crispy.”
Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside! How long does a Cookie’s crispiness last?
Younger Cookies tend to have a softer exterior. As a Cookie grows up, their dough becomes tougher and crunchier. There are some exceptions though! Certain ingredients in a Cookie’s dough can decide just how soft or crispy they’ll be. As long as Cookies don’t become too soggy, their dough can stay fresh and healthy for a very, very long time. — About CookieRun: CookieRun Fun Facts While it is unclear just how long mortal Cookies can live, it is assumed to be an amount of time comparable or the same as that of humans. Cookie ages are measured in years proportionate to human years[6], though it is unclear whether Cookies born as infants and Cookies born not as infants have different age scales. Regardless of this, Cookies born not as infants are nonetheless instilled with a certain “innate” or “mental” age upon their birth, meaning that a Cookie who was just born can indeed be considered an adult if that is what was defined for them. A notable example of this phenomenon is Head Icon GingerBrave, who was baked as not an infant but a child/preteen.
Like humans, Cookie ages do affect the maturity and capabilities of Cookies and how they are treated in society. There are distinct splits between different age brackets just as there are with humans: Cookies can be considered infants, children, young adults, older adults, and elderly all the same based on how old they are and what “innate age” with which they were born. Younger Cookies often attend school and are cared for by older Cookies, older Cookies fill work archetypes, and elderly Cookies may end up retiring.
Some outside sources can prolong or halt a Cookie’s aging process indefinitely.
Cookie Birth
Cookie birth is a deeply contentious and obfuscated topic. What can be said for certain is that Cookies are generally born by being baked in ovens, and that they are not necessarily always born as infant Cookies; while traditional baby Cookies are referred to as “freshly-baked,” it is also technically true that Cookies born not as an infant can be called such at any age, though this is not done in canon to avoid confusion.
Most playable Cookie descriptions mentioning a Cookie’s baking reference the human Witch/Witches or Wizards as the ones doing the baking. Witches tend to explicitly utilize ovens for Cookie creation while Wizards default to more esoteric methods like magic circles and transmutation.
The Recipe of the Witches Choose a concept and name for the Cookie. Use regular cookie dough as a base for the Cookie in question, with additional ingredients to create your desired outcome. * Regular dough ingredients: Sugar + Butter + Moonlight + Whispers Once the dough is no longer sticky and ready to shape, add a dash of Life Powder. Bake at a desired temperature in a pre-heated oven. — About CookieRun: Bake Your Own Cookie The Principium of the Wizards Formulate the required number of ingredients needed beforehand Measure your pre-acquired ingredients with utmost precision and stir everything in a small bowl. Form a magic circle with a team of experienced Wizards and place the dough in the center. Once all preparations are set, begin your incantation in unison. *Caution: Harnessing the power of Sunlight is forbidden as it can cause detrimental spoilage to the dough. Harness Moonlight only. Present your Cookie with a directive and a purpose! *Note: All directives for Cookies must include the conscious decision to respect knowledge and wisdom. — About CookieRun: Bake Your Own Cookie
It is known that some Cookies bake Cookies of their own without the influence of Witches or Wizards, though how and when are details that are largely unexplained.
Cookie Injury
Can Cookies get hurt?
Though the Cookies were created through magic which we’ll never truly understand, Cookies can still get hurt and injured. When humans fall and scrape their knee, a bit of blood can form. Instead of blood, Cookie injuries can result in bits of strawberry jam dripping from the wound. Always be careful and extra gentle when meeting a Cookie! A Cookie can become critically injured if they crumble too much! — About CookieRun: CookieRun Fun Facts Like any other mortal creature, Cookies can sustain and die from injuries. Humans are to Cookies as blood is to strawberry jam—though their jam isn’t known to have any importance to their bodies running like blood does for people, strawberry jam seeping from a Cookie is a sure sign of injury. Cookies can be bruised, cut, burned, or hurt in any way that a human could, and their wounds would heal (or not heal) in the same way a human’s would. This is likely possible through the magic of Life Powder, though not even Life Powder can heal major injuries like a loss of limbs or other bodily features. Cookie healing methods and medicines are not often discussed in canon.
The one method of Cookie ailment most mentioned throughout Cookie Run: Kingdom is soggage. If exposed to water or other liquids for too long, the porous Cookies are prone to becoming soggy and overly soft, which can lead to the breaking down of dough. Cookies can avoid soggage by applying special oils to their bodies—such is used as an explanation for Cookies being able to swim and not instantly becoming deathly soggy.
Cookie Dough
Cookie bodies usually are constructed from various types of cookie dough, including gingerbread and sugar cookie dough. Their dough can take a very diverse variety of colors which can often be affected by and representative of their race/nationality or environment much like skin tones in humans. Cookie dough is also susceptible to certain conditions and imperfections akin to those seen in humans, such as scarring, burning, wrinkling, freckling, blushing, facial/body hair, and vitiligo[5]. However, Cookie bodies may also show colors and markings unlike anything naturally occurring in humans.
Cookies are known to be flat with little lateral dimension. Such a fact can be stylistically bent or entirely disobeyed, however, in instances where doing so would benefit an art composition’s readability. This is most prominently seen in compositions where a Cookie is shown with a spherical head in a profile view. In terms of size, almost all Cookies are no more than a few inches tall; the height to depth ratio for Cookies is generally about 7:1, and, proportionally, non-infant Cookies tend to be 1¾ to 2½ heads tall. Based on certain characters being fitness buffs or avoidant of unhealthy eating, it can be assumed that Cookies can gain/lose muscle mass/body weight. Like human bodies, Cookie bodies grow and mature as they age.
Cookie Anatomy
Though Cookies as a species present themselves in a wide variety of manners, certain common patterns can be noted. Standard Cookies take a humanoid shape in a wide variety of body types, generally having one head, two arms, and two legs. Their bodies usually are constructed from various types of cookie dough, and they tend to have two eyes, one mouth, and no discernible nose or ears. Cookie facial features are made from different types of icing, including “toothcing” in place of teeth and “eyecing” in place of eyelids/eyelashes (though they refer to their eyes as a whole as simply “eyes”). They can also have hair anywhere on their bodies that a human would, including but not limited to the head, arms, face, chest, and legs, whose composition varies based on the Cookie’s ingredients and race. In fact, a Cookie’s appearance overall is heavily affected by their main ingredient, which often is stated in their name, as well as their race, nationality, and environment. It is generally agreed upon that Cookies do not contain organs and bones—despite this, all standard humanoid Cookies are said to be filled with strawberry jam as a stand-in for blood.
Cookies
Cookies (Korean: 쿠키, kuki) are a highly intelligent species of being that are nearly indistinguishable from humans aside from their simplified, small, and food-themed appearance. Their diversity, motivations, and capabilities are very similar to those of humans in a modern fantasy setting, seeking community and fulfillment despite their original purpose being much less complex.
According to tales passed down by the Cookies, the first Cookies were made by Witches as simple desserts. Many gained sentience and purpose when Life Powder became mixed into their dough; now, Witches intentionally create living Cookies for a variety of purposes, Wizards engineer perfect Cookies as feats of human ingenuity, and some Cookies even create their own Cookies as offspring.

Cacao Manhole Lid
A manhole cover made from a dense blend of hardened cacao. It’s heavier than it looks!
Dark Cacao Bench
Crafting the most basic objects can be a challenging undertaking. This simple bench, for example: it wasn’t an easy task to achieve the perfect balance between the smooth and sleek square of chocolate and the two sandwich biscuits. Now we have an outstanding pitch-black cacao bench, perfectly visible for snowy winter days!
Blackberry Cookie’s Midnight Fireplace
It’s was past Blackberry Cookie’s bedtime, yet she’s awake enjoying her precious time of quiet reading by the gently crackling fire. As the night goes deeper…
Bridge of Harmony
This bridge is adorned with the heads of the Black and White Dragons that appear in the legend of the Dark Cacao Kingdom’s founding. This architectural style deviates from the existing tradition of using minimal materials and humble beauty: instead, the artisans fashioned the bridge from chocolate of different cacao content in their attempt to express the perfect harmony. Fun fact: the same artisans have been accused of “too much cuteness” ever since…
Traditional Dark Cacao Mansion
Each Cookie needs a sweet little house. A bunch of sweet little houses together makes up a big sweet town!
Dark Cacao Tent
A tent prepared for the Dark Cacao delegation that traveled across Earthbread from the snowy foothills of the Giant Icing Ridge. It’s made of thinly-spun cacao sheets reinforced with a coat of cream which makes them extra durable. As for setting up the tents… no team is as fast as the Cream Wolves, naturally.
Spooky Old Cinema
Gaaaaah! What was that scream, you say? Oh no no no, these are coming not from the horror movie: it’s a retro black and white motion picture carefully preserved by the Sugar Gnomes. It’s simply has no sound! A bit eerie if you ask us. What? The projector is off? How odd! Well, looks like it’s time for you to find out where the screams are coming from, mhe he he…
Crow Tree
A worn-out hammock is hanged among the bare knotted branches. This eerie-looking tree is waiting for the nightfall: this is when Black Raisin Cookie and her ravens come back to fill their humble shelter with life and warmth.
Ominous Cake Tower
This cake tower was left all alone in the banquet hall after the Gods left the venue. Some of its decorations resembling living Cookies… As you approach the tower, the air fills with a sense of uneasiness, the candles trembling nervously, and an eerie voice whispers right into your ear: “Do you wish to know the secrets of the Cookies?”
Everwinter Snow Globe
This glass ball is filled with winter’s chill. One wizard claimed to have found the way to use it!
Chocolate Altar of the Fallen
There is no greater honor for a Dark Cacao warrior than having their name inscribed onto the Altar of the Fallen. Each square of the altar is lined with the names of who gave their lives for the homeland. A solemn aura surrounds this place-perhaps, the spirits of the warriors found their last refuge here.
Altar of Bittersweet Rituals
Lost in the labyrinth of the Dark Cacao Citadel’s dreary halls, there is a place known to no one else but Affogato Cookie. Take a few steps closer to the altar, and you will hear a faint whisper of a chant echoing throughout the mirk. Like a heavy incense haze, misfortune clouds the castle halls, waiting for its next victim.
Shelter of Solitude
Whenever Dark Cacao Cookie found himself lost in thought, he finds himself heading to this quiet shelter. The choco bamboo tree stands high and unyielding in silence, reminding him of his royal retainers-offering the lone king a peace of mind-but the unsettling scent of a foul incense stops him from letting his guard down.
Royal Feast Table
Even on special occasions, the Cookies of Dark Cacao, who value modesty above all, prefer neat tablecloths to fancy embellishments. Some even say that even that can hardly be called “modest.”
Cathedral Pew
Pews like this one can be found in the St. Pastry Order’s cathedral. Its fork-shaped backrest is so uncomfortable, you can’t help but sit up straight.

A candy cane has been crafted into a torch. The slow-burning flame is almost hypnotic.

Purple Stone Lantern
Stone lanterns like this can be seen throughout the kingdom. The ingenious design allows flame to burn despite the harsh wind and snow. Travelers should be careful wandering in the Dark Cacao wilderness after dark: sinister mountains spirits are more than eager to lure them into their trap with their purple light illusions.
Cacao & Cream Cannon
A marvel of Dark Cacao weapon craftsmanship, this cannon is not only a powerful weapon but also is extremely easy to move, thanks to the unique cream lubricant solution. The sleek surface of the cannon is wrapped around by a white dragon-a common motive of the Dark Cacao art derived from the legend of the kingdom’s founding.
Dragon Roar Buk Drum
War, war is coming! Sound the drums! Whenever the enemy encroached upon the borders of Dark Cacao, the sound of the buk drums would signal the troops to prepare for battle. It is believed that the deep, sonorous voice of these drums resembles the roar of the dragons from the legend of the Kingdom’s founding.
Strawberry Choco Pansies
The St. Monastery’s pansies are as red as the brightest strawberry jam. Perhaps, they are meant to remember priests who gave their lives to defend the world’s order against injustice.
Modest Table Platform
Barkeep! Another one! Sometimes, only a glass of scalding and bitter cacao drink with a trusty friend is the only thing that can save the day.
Fallen Chandelier
This chandelier once illuminated a spacious ballroom. Having crashed down on the floor, now it fits even better into the decoration ensemble for a Halloween party. The crimson red apple leaves beneath it work amazingly as the creepy finishing touch!

This simple yet elegant brick wall is topped with an ornate roof of cacao tiles and cream. The roof also serves as an excellent shelter for birds on rainy days!
Voodoo Doll
A voodoo doll that resembles Pomegranate Cookie. It’s been made with considerable care!
Oddly Familiar Scarecrow
This scarecrow was crafted by a certain Cake Monster and a certain meringue cat creature… For some reason, there is something inherently unscary about it.
Choco Acorn
This acorn has spent so much time analyzing the sky, it has about enough data to find out why acorns fall down to the ground!
