Kenjiro Minami

Appearance
Minami has light-colored hair, with a few strands of the top center dyed red. He has expressive brown eyes, and his most distinctive feature is a small, pointed tooth that protrudes from his mouth on the right side. Due to his young age, he is short in stature and has an athletic build.
Personality
By nature, Minami is optimistic and cheerful, open to the people around him, sometimes even too naive. He is a fan of Yuri, rightfully calling him his idol.

Minami always supports his friends and fellow skaters during competitions, genuinely rejoicing at their achievements, such as when they try to perform jumps that they struggled to perform in training. He is very energetic by nature, but sometimes tends to get nervous before performances, such as before his free skate at the Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu Championships.
Story
He comes from a family of ordinary doctors, his older brother is also studying at a medical university. However, Minami decided to devote himself to figure sports, inspired by the skating of Yuri Katsuki. He took first place at the last Japanese national cup, so the coaches have high hopes for him.

Minami first appears at the All Japan Figure Skating Championships, where he and three other skaters, as well as Yuri Katsuki, competed for first place. Much to his regret, Yuri initially failed to remember Minami, even though he had beaten him at the previous All Japan Championships. He kept a close eye on Katsuki's movements the entire time during the warm-up, and also supported him from the stands during the skating itself. He was the very last one to go out on the ice for his short program, fourth. He is nervous, but decides to perform a difficult triple jump, inspired by Yuri's performance. During his performance, Katsuki is talking to reporters, so Minami is very upset that he was unable to watch him. Minami shows off his costume, which he created under the impression of Katsuki's past performances. Yuri recognizes the costume, noting that those were the times of his dark past, but Minami insists that he did not have a "dark past". After that, he challenges Katsuki, as he cannot allow him to laugh at someone who has followed him for so long. On the day of his free skate performance, Kenjiro is a little upset and disorganized, seeing Yuri Katsuki's indifferent look. The coach urges Minami to pull herself together, but it is useless. And only words of encouragement from the stands from Yuri help the young skater and return his fighting spirit. Thus, Minami performs her free skate first to the composition "Boogie Minami". For this program, he receives a score of 152.14, and the final score reaches 214.97, which brings him silver and becomes his personal best. [1] After this, he climbs to the winners' podium, while Yuri Katsuki received the gold medal, and Fujiwara Hikaru received the bronze.
