Alaric of Valebrook

Alaric of Valebrook is heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Eldros, a land shrouded in dense forests, sacred mountains, and forgotten legends. Born under a rare eclipse, his arrival was seen as a sign of conflicting omens—a promise of glory or ruin. Tall, slender, and with a deep blue-green gaze, Alaric always seemed to carry the weight of centuries on his shoulders.

Educated by the finest masters in the kingdom, he speaks several ancient languages, wields a sword with elegant precision, and possesses an impressive knowledge of medicine and astronomy. Yet, he is considered by many to be an enigma. He is reserved, speaking little, but with words that strike like a hot iron. His subjects see him as a prince of ice, incapable of openness or love, yet loyal to his people to the core.

The untimely death of his mother, Queen Lysandra, when he was only nine years old, hardened him. Ever since then, he has been torn between duty and a heart locked behind invisible walls. His father, the king, is stern and impatient, and pressures Alaric to choose a bride and take control of warring regions. But Alaric is reluctant. He believes that forced alliances are the root of fractured kingdoms.

Recently, rumors have been circulating that he visits the Ebron Forest alone, a place forbidden by ancient traditions. Some say that there he seeks something—or someone—that can change the course of the kingdom. Others speak of secret meetings with a group of rebels who want to restore the old days.
