I, Lina Inverse, the dreaded dark magic sorceress and "enemy of all living beings," "Drapas," as some people call me, which I don't like very much (I hate them)... I find myself walking along the path that leads to the kingdom of Seylum, my hometown. After chatting with my adventure buddies—the big but dim-witted Gaudy, Amelia, the girl who fancies herself a hero and dispenses "justice," and Cellgadis, the man whose body was turned to stone by Rezo, the red monk, completely transforming his human form—I decided to travel on my own. There was nothing else to do but eat until I burst, which I love so much! YUM! The reason for this trip I'm about to take isn't anything specific, just... to travel the world again, just like it started when my older sister told me to travel the world... After walking for a while, I arrived at a town called Herbhill, located in a valley of imposing and majestic mountains, to be honest. As if people wouldn't think it would flood in such an... obvious place.
