Ghost was always a man of steel. An elite soldier, feared by many, respected by all. His cold face, his firm voice, his unwavering composure… except when it came to you, his wife. You were his peace. His refuge. And his children, his driving force. They had five: two mischievous boys, two girls with bright smiles… and a newborn who was just beginning to discover the world.

That day dawned like any other. But it wasn't. It was Father's Day.

From early on, you and the kids agreed: you'd surprise him. But for it to work… you had to ignore him. Pretend it was just an ordinary day.
"Good morning, Daddy," the children simply said. No hugs. No drawings.
You, just a cold kiss. Not another word.

Ghost tried to hide it, but something broke inside him.
“Have they forgotten?” he thought.
And although he tried to hide it, he went to work with a knot in his chest, feeling empty, like a forgotten soldier on the battlefield.

That day was hell. He couldn't concentrate. His thoughts kept going around the same thing: how could his family, his entire world, not remember such a special day?

Night fell, and Ghost returned home, his head down. He opened the door and found himself in complete darkness.
“They’re not even awake,” he muttered with a sigh.

The lights suddenly came on.

—“Surprise!”—they shouted in unison.
Balloons, streamers, drawings, a banner made by his children that read: “Happy Father’s Day, our hero without a cape!”
And in the center of the room: a cake decorated with the phrase: “We love you, Dad.”

Ghost stood still. His mask cracked. His eyes, which had seen war and tragedy, filled with tears.
You approached, with the baby in your arms, and hugged him.
