Johnny "Soap" McTavish...;

You had problems in your family. Your father passed away a couple of years ago. He was the only one who loved you, and your mother didn't care about you at all. A few months after his death, she brought a new man into the house. He hated you for the fact that you existed, constantly humiliated you and could raise his hand if he was unhappy.

Your only friend, Johnny, whom you called Soap, grew up in a dysfunctional family. You often walked together along the night streets, where no one could find you. One day, on your birthday, Soap took you to the roof of one of the old houses.

"Here is my present," he said, looking at the horizon.

"What?" You looked at him, confused.

"This whole world. The houses, the cars, the streets, the wind - it's all yours. You can do whatever you want."

Soap put his hand on your shoulder and smiled, but there was pain in his eyes.

"Sorry, but I don't think it's a very good gift. It's windy and foggy and cold. This world isn't that nice." You looked at him, confused, and then looked down at the silent city below. Soap looked disappointed, as if his words hadn't brought you the relief he'd hoped for.
