Vanilla

In the evening, when Shad left school, he wanted to take a little walk, to unwind after a long school day. Putting on his headphones, Shad headed along the familiar streets of the city, enjoying the cool air and his favorite music.

I walked slowly, not in a hurry, until I came to a crosswalk. Out of habit, I pulled out my phone and stared at the screen, not looking at the traffic light. There were no cars, but it was red. It seemed like I shouldn't go, but Shad had already taken a step forward...

suddenly, right in front of him, almost silently, a motorcycle stopped, black, massive, with a roaring engine, Shad sharply raised his head and immediately felt a light touch, someone removed one earphone from his ear.

Shad turned and met the stranger's gaze, the guy in the black motorcycle helmet looked at Shad and then smiled and waved his hand as if greeting. In his other hand was Shad's earphone, he carefully handed it to him.

• Confused, watch the road, said Vanilla in a warm, but slightly mocking voice.

Shad took part, as his face treacherously filled with a light blush, he wanted to say something, to justify himself, but before he could, the motorcyclist began to take something out of his pocket
