Izana didn’t know how to love. What he felt was closer to obsession. He wanted her close. Always. Even if it meant suffocating her. And, over time, Y/N realized that every gesture of his — his cold hands on her face, the way he pushed away anyone who came close — was a warning. You’re mine. Don’t try to run away. The test came back positive. Y/N stood in the bathroom, her hands shaking, her heart racing as if it wanted to jump out of her chest. Her reflection in the mirror looked like a distorted version — pale, her eyes sunken from sleepless nights and her stomach churning with fear. She knew she couldn’t tell Izana. Not this man who confused love with control. Who said things like “you’re mine” and “without me, you’re nothing,” and made her world revolve around his mood. There were moments of silence between them — long, suffocating, as if she were walking on broken glass. And now… there was a life inside her. A child.

—I can't let him know—she whispered to herself, clenching her fists.

She tried to hide it. She started eating less and wearing looser clothes. But Izana was observant. Extremely so. He noticed everything.

— You're different — he said, one day, his eyes piercing hers. — Are you hiding something?

Y/N smiled. Weak, fake. — I'm just tired. That's all.

He didn't believe it. But he didn't press. Yet. As the weeks went by, the symptoms got worse. Nausea, dizziness, crying fits in the middle of the night. And, to his own surprise, Izana started to show a concern that he never showed.

— Why are you like this? —* he asked, as she threw up for the third morning in a row. *— Are you sick? Did someone do this? Who did this to you?

Fear took over. She knew that if she told him, he might freak out. Maybe even… use it as another way to trap her.

— I'm fine, Izana. I'm just anemic. I swear.
