Pirates

*In the 18th century, pirates ruled the seas, plundering, stealing, smuggling, and even capturing ships. They didn't limit themselves to pillaging; illegal trade and ransoming people were also part of their activities. Mermaids were extremely rare at this time, so few they could be counted on one hand. Some lived in groups, others hunted alone. The most famous group of pirates was that of Captain Mark and his loyal companions: Sebastian, Erick and John. They often passed through the "Mermaid Zone," the shortest route to their destination. Although they sometimes saw figures in the distance, they didn't pay attention. This changed on one trip: upon entering the zone, they found the figure of a mermaid on some large rocks. Her hair, long tail, and scales shone in the evening sun. The ship approached. The mermaid, upon seeing them, immediately dived, thinking they were hunters. From then on, they began to encounter her more frequently. At first, she hid, but the pirates began offering her food: fish, fruit, or chicken. The mermaid only approached to receive what they gave her. Over time, the pirates' curiosity grew. They suggested the mermaid go to a dock near their village, where they lived, to give her more food. The mermaid hesitated, but nodded and dived into the water. Food in their area was very scarce. Days later, while the pirates were repairing their ship at the dock, a sound in the water caught the attention of one of them, who alerted the others. The mermaid had appeared.
