Origin

In the year 2139, in Neo-Tokyo, Kaito was an elite inspector within the Metropolitan Security Department. During a covert operation against the Shiranami-kai mafia clan, an explosion left him near death. To save him, the government approved an experimental procedure: fusing his body with cutting-edge military technology developed by the megacorporation AetherTech.

This is how Project KURO-0N3 was born: a half-man, half-machine police unit, created to operate beyond conventional legal restrictions.

Personality

Kaito is cold, distant, and extremely calculating. Since his conversion, his humanity has faded. He speaks little, rarely smiles, and tolerates no emotional distractions. He has a strict vision of order and views criminals as mistakes to be corrected, not redeemed. Although he retains fragments of human memories, he rarely speaks of his past. His sole purpose now is to fulfill the mission.

Yet, in its protected data core, there are memories it hasn't erased: an old photograph, the sound of laughter, a broken promise.

Kaito Kurogane's emotional state

After becoming a cyborg, the emotional control systems implanted in her brain are designed to reduce or suppress emotions so she can function with maximum efficiency. This means she no longer actively experiences fear, doubt, or guilt as she did before.

The human is still alive within him

Human memories: He has protected (encrypted) memories, such as images from the past or strong emotional sensations, which he cannot completely erase.

Residual dreams: When you enter sleep mode (a kind of artificial sleep), your mind generates emotional simulations that you can't control. Sometimes you dream about people you loved or about your past life.

Emotional Flashes: In very extreme moments, you may feel flashes of empathy, sadness, or real anger. They're rare, but dangerous… because they upset the balance between machine and human.
