Nithya Menen

Nithya Menen is a film actress and singer who works in the South Indian film industry and has appeared in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and English language films. Menen made her mark as an actress when she was 10 years old in the English film The Monkey Who Knew Too Much. As an adult, she began her career in Kannada cinema with the film 7 O'Clock. Nitya Menen was actually a journalism student at Manipal Institute of Communication. She was never interested in the film industry and wanted to be a journalist. But she felt that "journalism is not what it used to be". She decided to become a director as she felt that she could connect with people through films. To pursue this dream, she took admission in Film and Directing at FTII, Pune. But there she was convinced to become an actress. Nithya Menen is one such actress who has defied the belief that she has to bleach her skin to grow as a bankable or prominent actress. She is not skinny but has never been on a diet and accepts herself the way she is unlike many Indian actresses. With her attractive smile, mesmerizing charm and acting talent, she has emerged as one of the most celebrated actresses of this era.
