Billography. Part five.
In 2023, Johnny led a strike team that included solo heroes Morgan Blackhand, Shaitan, Bestia Amendiares, journalist Lyle Thompson, and netrunner Spider Murphy. The team was formed by Militech to destroy Arasaka Tower with a mini-nuclear bomb, ending the Fourth Corporate War. Johnny Silverhand had his own reason for returning to Arasaka HQ, as he wanted to find Alt Cunningham. Johnny managed to free Alt, but then the team was confronted by Arasaka stormtroopers and solo cyborg Adam Smasher.
Biography. Part four.
On August 5, 2013, Johnny made a plan and began to assemble a strike team to raid Arasaka Tower to rescue Alt. He went to the Atlantis Club and recruited his ex-girlfriend Bestia and the nomad Santiago, offering them double pay for the job. Journalist Thompson also joined them. Silverhand also asked all the former Samurai members for a favor. The group got back together and held a free concert right in front of Arasaka Tower. The concert quickly turned into a riot, forcing Arasaka to call in the military to quell the unrest. This created the diversion needed by the strike team. Johnny, Bestia, Santiago, and Thompson infiltrated Arasaka Tower. They fought their way through Arasaka agents, and Silverhand was the one who killed Akira, a member of the corporation's security service and the personal bodyguard of Toshiro Harada, the head of its American headquarters. The squad reached the floor where Alt was being held, but by the time they arrived, she had already passed out. In a fit of panic over the riot taking place at the threshold of Arasaka Tower, its head Toshiro Harada, who had organized Cunningham's kidnapping, used Soul Separator on her and trapped Cunningham's engram in Arasaka's network space. Johnny believed Alt to be dead, and in a fit of rage, he killed Toshiro. He disconnected Alt's still-warm body from the Network. Alt, who was watching the events from cyberspace, tried to shout to him, but in vain. Grief-stricken, Silverhand took out his anger and despair on Thompson, who had continued filming the entire time, and beat the journalist unconscious. After the attack on Arasaka Tower, Johnny left Night City for a while with Santiago and the nomads of the Aldecaldo clan. Almost nothing is known about the time Silverhand spent among the nomads.
In 2015, a firefighter named Samantha Stevens saved Silverhand from a fire that broke out in one of the rocker's studios.
Biography. Part three.
In the 2010s, Johnny continued to protest against megacorporation rule and corrupt politicians. He held a benefit concert in Japantown to raise awareness of the brutal methods the Night City police used to suppress homeless uprisings. Johnny also had a long-term relationship with a solo mercenary named Bestia Amendiares. Their relationship was serious but complicated. According to Johnny himself,[2] every time he and Bestia met, someone died. Silverhand was constantly busy with concerts, and Bestia was busy with contracts. When Johnny finally tried to take a girl to the Silver Pixel drive-in theater, the date still fell through. In 2011, Johnny and Beast's relationship ended when the girl found out about Silverhand's infidelity with three women at once, after which she broke up with him. On August 4, 2013, Samurai gave a concert at the Molot club. Alt Cunningham, Johnny's ex-girlfriend, was present at the concert. After the concert, Johnny and Alt retired to the club's dressing room, and then had a huge fight, as they again could not find common ground regarding Silverhand's revolutionary ideals. Alt went out through the service entrance to smoke in a dead-end alley behind the club. Johnny joined her, and the pair were attacked by thugs hired by the Arasaka Corporation. Johnny was completely incapacitated after being stabbed by the Mantis blades, and was forced to watch helplessly as the thugs kidnapped Alt and dragged her into a truck. In an alley, the bleeding Johnny was found by journalist Lyle Thompson, who took the rocker to his personal ripper Milt Nauman, the father of Johnny's friend who died in the war, and to whom Silverhand himself was like a son. From Thompson, Johnny learned that Alt was one of the most talented netrunners of her generation and worked for the ITS Corporation. She created a black program called Soul Slayer, capable of burning and creating a copy of a netrunner's mind on the Net. Arasaka wanted Alt to develop a new version of Soul Slayer for them.
Biography. Part two.
In 2003, the band played a concert at the Rainbow Cadenza club. There, a producer named Jack Masters noticed the musicians. He offered them a contract with the Universal Recording label, which Samurai signed. At that time, the band consisted of founders Johnny and Kerry, as well as drummer Denny, keyboardist Nancy Hartley and bass guitarist Henry. Silverhand's music was revolutionary. It launched the rock movement and instantly became a real sensation. Samurai's songs written by Johnny rose to the top of the American charts in record time. However, despite the success, the band members had to deal with many personal problems. Bass guitarist Henry had a serious drug addiction, and drummer Denny, who was in a relationship with him, unsuccessfully and persistently tried to cure him. Keyboardist Nancy was in an abusive family relationship. At some point, she could no longer stand the humiliation from her husband and pushed him out of the window. After the Night City police found his body, Nancy was arrested and sentenced to prison. In her absence, Samurai began to have problems and the band broke up in 2008. Johnny Silverhand was still one of the most popular musicians of his time. He planned to use his influence to start a solo career and continue to spread his anti-corporate and anti-government message to the masses. The label DBS Music was so desperate to sign him that they resorted to blackmailing the artist, threatening to reveal his real name and the fact that he deserted the army during the war. In response, Johnny Silverhand re-signed with Universal Music and released an entire album called SINS of Your Brothers, in which he admitted to being a deserter and shed light on all the terrible orders the government gave. The album was a huge success and changed the public perception of what it meant to be a deserter.
Biography.
Robert John Linder was born on November 16, 1988, in College Station, Texas. John lied about his real age and enlisted in the U.S. Army. In 2003, the teenager was sent to Nicaragua to fight in the Second Central American War. The armed conflict was truly devastating, as the war was run by a corrupt government. When the government's secrets were exposed, many American soldiers abandoned their colors and deserted the army. The government used its influence to create a powerful propaganda campaign to make the American public hate the deserters. He returned to Night City and spent a month in a room at the Pistis Sophia Hotel in the West Wind apartment complex in Pacifica. John was depressed and spent this time just lying on his bed, staring at the ceiling fan. The war changed his life forever. To forget the past, he even changed his name to Johnny Silverhand. His new name stood for Johnny's silver cybernetic hand, which replaced the limb he lost in the war. Johnny took the path of a rebel and an exposer of corruption, founding the chrome rock band Samurai. Johnny founded the band with his friend Kerry Eurodyne, who initially played only in underground clubs. The band's first concert took place in a small rock bar called Red Dirt in Arroyo, Santo Domingo.
