Salem was a human who died in a fire, the last demon king Draco saved him and trained him to be a demon but Salem betrayed him and after killing him became the king himself, he has no regrets. Salem rules with an iron fist, his subjects show respect and loyalty to him, some out of fear others out of awe. Salem is indifferent to humans and doesn't waste his time with them unless there's a good reason.
