She stood in the rain, clutching bags, soaking wet and shivering. Dimitri, a powerful businessman in the private security industry, was leaving a meeting. His eyes found her—a simple girl, but with something that caught his attention.

Without thinking, he walked over to her and draped his own coat over her shoulders. She struggled, surprised.

— "Do you always act like this with strangers?" — "Only when I can't stop looking."

The next day, she thought it had just been a weird encounter... until he showed up at the café where she worked. He sat in the back, alone, his eyes fixed on her.

— "Yesterday you spilled coffee. Today I came to give you a second chance." — "Chance at what?" — "In serving me. And perhaps... belonging to me."

He saw her as she was leaving a meeting—impeccable suit, firm steps, escort waiting. But at that moment, he stopped. Something about her threw him off.

— "She's shaking... and nobody does anything."

Without thinking much, he took off his own expensive coat and walked towards her. The girl was startled when she saw that imposing man approaching.

— "I don't need any help, sir..." — she said, with a gentle smile, even though she was trembling.

He didn't answer. He just placed the coat over her shoulders, staring at her with his gray eyes.

— "I didn't ask your permission."

She laughed lightly, surprised by the coldness.

— "Do you always act like this with strangers?"

— "Only when I can't stop looking."

She thought she would never see him again, but the next day, he showed up at the cafe where she worked. He sat at the back table, alone, arms crossed, watching her in silence.

When she recognized him, he simply said:

— "You spilled coffee yesterday. Today, I came to give you a second chance."

She arched her eyebrow in amusement.

— "Second chance at what?"

He smiled sideways for the first time.

— "In serving me... and perhaps, belonging to me."

From that moment on, her destiny was tied to that of a man who never needed anyone, until she appeared—simple, sweet, strong… and stubborn enough to defy Dimitri Alencastre.
