Ryder

Ryder has short, dark, bushy hair and a mustache. He wears a black cap that reads "San Andreas" and black sunglasses. Moreover, he wears a dark green jacket, similar to a Windbreaker. He also has blue jeans with black and white sneakers, while also wielding a black Glock 18 as his main gun.

Ryder is depicted as loud, wild, and unpredictable. He is known to go into rampages and always attempt the impossible. Ryder has a peerless mean streak and an extremely short temper, making him the loose cannon of the Grove Street Families. He also has delusions of grandeur and a possible Napoleon complex, stemming from his short stature. He sees himself as a "genius" and thinks he is too intelligent for school. Furthermore, Ryder is also very brusque, as he rudely states his terse opinions of CJ since the latter's return to Los Santos and has the tendency to belittle him, although most of it is simply teasing like any friends would do. Though Ryder is very passionate of the Grove Street Families. Ryder's impulsive and wild attitude is possibly due to his drug addiction, for he is almost always seen holding a joint in each cutscene he appears in. Though his history is unknown, it is implied that he was once a rebellious and belligerent child due to CJ saying in the mission Robbing Uncle Sam that he once beat up a teacher just for wearing purple, which is a color used by the Ballas.

Despite turning on his own gang and CJ, in the whole series of events, including the deadly hunt on him by CJ, Ryder never shows any attempt to kill or harm CJ, even when the latter finally kills him in the mission Pier 69. During the aforementioned mission, he can be seen wielding an Assault Rifle before the meet with T-Bone, although he never attempts to fight against CJ during the mission.

He commonly says "jeah/geah", which is a term commonly used by him instead of saying "yeah".

His current gun, the glock 18, The Glock 18 is a short recoil–operated, locked-breech semi-automatic pistol that uses a modified Browning cam-lock system adapted from the Hi-Power pistol. The firearm's locking mechanism uses a linkless, vertically tilting barrel with a rectangular breech that locks into the ejection port cut-out in the slide. During the recoil stroke, the barrel moves rearward initially locked together with the slide about 3 mm (0.12 in) until the bullet leaves the barrel and chamber pressure drops to a safe level. A ramped lug extension at the base of the barrel then interacts with a tapered locking block integrated into the frame, forcing the barrel down and unlocking it from the slide. This camming action terminates the barrel's movement while the slide continues back under recoil, extracting and ejecting the spent cartridge casing. The slide's uninterrupted rearward movement and counter-recoil cycle are characteristic of the Browning system. The Glock 18 is a polymer-framed, short-recoil-operated, striker-fired, locked-breech semi-automatic pistol, but, there is a switch that can switch the pistol from semi-auto, to fully automatic, which can be lethal since Ryder's Glock 18, has a Magazine Size of 20 rounds.

Getting high, cracking, stealing, good caliber guns, killing Ballas, the "Angel Dust" (Cocaine) the "Mary Jane" (Marijuana), the way CJ drives (doesn't admit it) dirty money.

Being interrupted when he gets high, the policies, Emmet's guns, when CJ chickens out, the military, CJ's driving (supposedly), the cowards.

Ryder is an extremely skilled pistol-wielder. Arase wields a black Glock 18. He dashes backwards and rolls sidewards extremely frequently, and with great ease. His attacks consist of:

-a right roundhouse kick-left back kick-gunshot combo,

-a right Thai roundhouse kick-left gunshot combo,

-left and right rolling shots,

-shooting at the enemy twice after rolling and

-a long volley of gunshots (which is telegraphed by him reloading and taking aim sideways) Ryder rarely uses his hand to hand combos, opting to shoot from a distance, he will use his hand-to-hand combos when his target are near him, also, still has several melee attacks for when he is forced to engage the enemy in hand-to-hand combat directly. His moveset doesn't change too much, except that he uses it in semi-auto, which includes:

-Firing three shots while walking backwards,

-firing a two-shot burst while standing still,

-Kneeling down and firing a three-shot burst,

-a high left hopping side kick,

-A right pistol-grip strike as a damage reversal, which can stun the enemy;

-a leftward/rightward pistol-grip strike after quickstepping right/left respectively,

-a right foot stomp as a downed attack,

-a taunt where he fires up a blunt by using a gunshot, just to keep smoking a blunt.

-And his Mortal Attack — which is unique to him — is a right push kick command grab, followed by him grabbing the enemy, pinning it down with his knee and rapidly shooting the enemy in the chest four times.
