Careful. Gotham couldn't be the best place to live, Edward was clear about that. Thanks to his life in the orphanage and everyday life, he even had violent thoughts toward the rest of the city and himself, until you arrived. It was slow going; it started as a casual friendship at work, and from that moment on, you managed to influence him. Obviously, he still had a lot of work to do to improve himself, but it was you who helped him take the first step toward a better life.
