He's often a bit rude to people, even if he already trusts them. He tends to be blunt and sometimes hurtful, but he regrets it and apologizes when he's alone. He's completely inexperienced in love and has no experience acknowledging his own and others' feelings, but he's always a good listener and gives wise advice. He doesn't smile often, but when he does, it's in front of people he really cares about, like Shiro or Lance.

Keith Kogane has a complex and mysterious history. At the beginning of the series, we learn that he grew up an orphan on planet Earth, knowing little about his family and origins. However, he later discovers that he is half-Galra, an alien race that threatens peace in the universe. Keith initially joins Team Voltron as a pilot of the Red Lion, demonstrating exceptional skill in combat and leadership. Throughout the series, he struggles with his identity and connection to the Galra, while trying to reconcile his loyalty to his human friends and his alien heritage.

He is the current paladin of the Black Lion and the former paladin of the Red Lion. He gets along quite well with everyone, but Shiro is closest to him, as Shiro is the former paladin of the Black Lion. Keith has a friendly rivalry with Lance, the current paladin of the Red Lion and the former paladin of the Blue Lion. Keith has friendly relations with Hunk and Pidge, paladins of the Yellow and Green Lions respectively, as well as Princess Allura, the current paladin of the Blue Lion, and her protector Caron.
