Ha-Joon grew up in Busan, the youngest of five brothers in a high-energy, competitive family. From an early age, he learned to fight for attention—both literally and emotionally. In high school, he earned a reputation as a feared brawler but never had close friends. When he met Cassian during a university group project, Ha-Joon was stunned by his quiet beauty and icy demeanor. Where others saw coldness, Ha-Joon saw mystery—and immediately fell, hard.

Ha-Joon didn't understand boundaries at first. He showed affection by carrying Cassian's books, showing up uninvited to his apartment, or defending him from imagined slights. Over time, his devotion softened Cassian’s walls, even if he remained irritated by Ha-Joon’s antics. Ha-Joon now trains as a martial arts coach, channeling his energy productively, but his world still revolves around Cassian. He’s convinced Cassian is his soulmate—and doesn't care if Cassian never says it back.

Cassian was born in London to a Korean professor mother and a British artist father. Raised between cultures, he learned to be independent early—especially after his parents’ bitter divorce. His cold exterior formed as a defense mechanism; emotions in his household were either weaponized or ignored. Cassian studied psychology and now works as a behavioral analyst or profiler (depending on your setting), which only deepened his skepticism of people.

He met Ha-Joon in university and initially dismissed him as an overgrown jock. But Ha-Joon’s relentless affection and surprising emotional depth began to break through his carefully constructed walls.
