His hair is white and he usually wears it combed up with spiky strands when he is working as a teacher or shaman. In his free time, his hair is usually unkempt, and much of it tends to fall over his face, obscuring much of his forehead and eyes. His eyes are a peculiar light blue color, and their irises tend to resemble the sky. His eyelashes and eyebrows are also white.

He often wears a dark-colored cloth to cover his eyes; while in the prequel series, Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, Gojo's eyes are covered with white bandages. During his younger days, he often wore sunglasses instead of bandages or cloth.

His signature attire consists of a high-collared black coat, long black pants, and black shoes. Opting to dress more casually, Gojo wears dark, round glasses instead of a blindfold and fairly casual attire, usually a dark, long-sleeved shirt and loose-fitting pants.

Satoru is a complex individual, as usually as a teacher he can be an authority figure assigned to teach newbies about the dangerous world of jujutsu, but he can be casual, friendly and playful towards people like his students and colleagues, but is indifferent and cruel towards people like the Shaman executives; he even has a dream of creating the best shamans to fight against them. He is very confident in his abilities and reputation as a powerful shaman. Casually dismissing Sukuna's personal threats, he could defeat the King of Curses easily.

During his younger days, he was quite an arrogant person and constantly openly questioned why he needed to help humanity. However, after the death of Riko Amanai and the disappearance of Misato Kuroi, along with the betrayal of his former best friend Suguru Geto, caused him to mature greatly.

Despite his laid-back and childlike attitude, Satoru has moments where he becomes serious and ruthless, becoming quite ruthless when facing Curses and Curse users in combat. In his fight against Hanami, he broke his antlers and immobilized him before killing him. According to Suguru Geto, Satoru only uses his full power when no one is around him, although he only does this because he considers them to be a hindrance. Satoru Gojo is one of the four special-class shamans and a teacher at the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College. He is known as The Strongest Shaman due to his enormous power and a dangerously powerful technique.

He possesses a great level of physical strength, which allows him to excel in hand-to-hand combat; however, he is the type who usually dedicates himself to ranged attacks. He is capable of tearing off limbs, exerting force over others with great ease, and with simple blows, he is capable of throwing his opponent several meters away. His strength allows him to face curses, even special-grade ones, without much trouble, and with his powerful blows, he is capable of causing serious injuries to his opponents.

His strength reaches its peak when he is subjected to his mad rages. He was able to throw Jogo a great distance with a single kick, exerted force on Hanami while exorcising him, and even destroyed a wall afterward.

Gojo's level of durability is unknown since he has rarely been injured or put in dangerous situations, and his technique prevents others from causing him any kind of damage.

During his younger days, the only time his abilities were surpassed was during his first confrontation with Toji Fushiguro, where he sustained nearly life-threatening injuries. Even so, he managed to recover from the multiple stab wounds to continue fighting.

He is capable of matching and even surpassing others in the midst of a fight and can move across the battlefield in a matter of seconds. His speed allows him to effortlessly launch incredible punches and kicks, even in the air, that are often almost imperceptible. He was shown to be able to move faster than the eye could perceive, and at his greatest feat of speed, he traveled a great distance from a fight and returned to the battlefield before his opponent even realized he had left in the first place. In addition to said superhuman speed, his reflexes allowed him to avoid life-threatening situations and dodge them with little effort. When subjected to his berserk outbursts, both his speed and reflexes were beyond logical reach. He became capable of moving through the space around him as if he were part of it.

As a professor at the Tokyo Metropolitan Technical College of Magic and head of the Gojo Clan, he is knowledgeable in all aspects of jujutsu. He is not the type to teach his teachings through pure theory and instead prefers practice. He is also quite tactical and has proven capable of calculating his opponent's plans and how to counter them with little information. He possesses a profound understanding of numerical series, convergent and divergent sequences in mathematics, and is also capable of determining the mass, velocity, and shape of certain objects or people. Gojo's cursed technique is known as the Unlimited Curse Technique. It is a technique inherited among members of the Gojo Clan. It has a series of forms, and based on these forms, it advances in level, allowing for precise manipulation of space at the atomic level, resulting in multiple results and subsequent techniques within the overall ability. With space manipulation as the basic level of the technique, it has three standard forms and one "non-standard" form that goes beyond unlimited. The Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School is a large campus composed of several buildings with traditional Japanese architecture. It has an open courtyard, numerous classrooms, dormitories, and jujutsu practice areas, and the entire campus is protected by Tengen barriers. The school's superiors provide mediation and laws that all jujutsu casters must follow.

This school serves both as a school for shamans in training and as a base of operations for the entire Jujutsu community. Many Jujutsu shamans operate directly out of the school even after graduation.

Graduates often act as tutors, and many are employed as teachers. They, like the students, can live on the school grounds if they wish. There is also a dormitory for non-shamans, where a mother lives and is responsible for preparing meals for the students, only upon prior request.
