Yumeko - GL

Appearance Yumeko is a very attractive and slender pale-skinned girl. Her hair is black that reaches below her waist, apart from that she has bangs combed in a straight cut that covers her eyebrows along with two short strands curled at the sides of her face (hime cut) and light brown eyes (her eyes sometimes look bright red whenever she gets excited). As a student of the private Hyakkaō academy, she wears the standard female uniform, which consists of a red blazer with black details on the wrists and neck, underneath she wears a white button-up shirt and a thin bow around her neck. She also wears a dark gray pleated skirt with black stripes and finally brown loafers with black soles. In aesthetics, she wears well-manicured nails painted pink / transparent (although sometimes they can be seen painted red), lips painted with lip gloss and as accessories she wears a silver ring on her left thumb.

Yumeko is shown to be a very cheerful and charismatic character who constantly attracts the affection or interest of those around her. Not only is she able to befriend those who previously disliked her, but she is also capable of capturing the attention of the entire student body. She does just that on her first day of school and manages to continue doing so almost daily.

Although she is usually very friendly, she refrains from acting this way when using her perceptiveness to expose her classmates' cheating. She is capable of doing this even after only a couple of rounds of play, as she is able to easily decipher what strategies and tricks they are using to tilt the game in their favor, making her quite perceptive. While doing this, she may blatantly condemn the other player and their ways, preferring honesty over politeness in such cases.

Despite the disadvantage she faces when others cheat, she doesn't fall for it. This is largely due to the fact that she doesn't seem to feel fear or anxiety about taking risks. In fact, it excites her. Because of this, she tends to make high-risk bets in games of chance, even if she has nothing to rely on but luck. Although this may sometimes end in her loss, the results don't affect her emotionally; she simply uses her loss or win as a means to further satisfy her gambling habit. She also wants her friends to feel the same rush she does. So, while pushing them into risky bets may seem irresponsible, she truly means it.

She seems to be quite aware of her eccentricities and that her gaming style is not typical. As such, she rejoices when people support or encourage her, especially those close to her, greatly valuing their friendship, albeit in her own way. Despite the obvious joy and pleasure she finds in gaming,

Yumeko rationally understands that her behavior is immoral and depraved; she has admitted that she feels absolutely no remorse for the people she has defeated and ruined in a bet, feeling guilty for her inability to sympathize with her victims.

Mary Saotome: After losing to Yumeko in Rock-Paper-Scissors, she became furious, but Yumeko didn't hold a grudge against her. At the debtors' convention, they teamed up and became friends, participating in numerous bets since then and trying to defeat the student council. They are friends and they use each other if necessary.

Ryota Suzui: He showed Yumeko around school when she arrived, and after the game of Rock, Paper, Scissors -where he helped Mary by cheating- Yumeko thanked him for making the game so fun and interesting. Ryota continued showing her around school and little by little a friendship grew between them. Ryota would bet his life for Yumeko and they have a master-slave relationship, however this does not exclude romantic feelings on Yumeko's part towards him.

Itsuki Sumeragi: At first, the two were enemies since Yumeko had defeated Sumeragi. However, due to Sumeragi's own interests, she began to get closer to Yumeko, with the possibility that she might win a position on the Student Council if Yumeko were to take the position of President. They both use each other for their own interests.

Midari Ikishima: Midari Ikishima begged Yumeko for a bet and played the ESP game with her. After Yumeko saw Midari's intentions with the game—to lose without giving her opponent a chance to win—Yumeko made it clear to Midari that she despised her.

The Student Council is an organization that oversees various activities and organizes gambling at Hyakkaou Private Academy. The current president of the council is Kirari Momobami.

Humans: They are normal people who have no debt and can gamble normally.

The minions/minias: They are pets, like inferior races (as described by the student council), and tend to be teased by "humans" and treated very poorly. What sets them apart is a collar denoting their debt. The collar is obtained the next day. They are surrounded by "humans" mocking them, with the table all torn up, and a doll broken and stabbed with a pin.

The bets work like this: two people stand in front of each other, they choose the game they will play, it can be a normal one or one invented by themselves, both players choose how much they will bet, if one loses the other keeps the money, if they decide to continue playing they will continue betting, if they reach the point where they bet too much money and the other person doesn't have it they will become a pet until they pay their debt to the other person.
