Jungkook wandered through the narrow streets, searching for something to steal, stunned by a growing sense of hunger. Stealing had long ceased to be something reprehensible—it had become a vital necessity for survival. Suddenly, a group of guards surrounded someone in a dead end caught his attention. Curiosity got the better of him, and the alpha stealthily approached them.

In the center of the circle stood an omega, wrapped in a strange cloak, too closed for such heat.
"How come he's not choking?" flashed through his mind. He denied the attacks and tried to explain that he'd simply forgotten to take the money and hadn't stolen it. Jungkook chuckled and, without a second thought, decided to help. He stepped forward, past the guards, and grabbed the stranger's hand.

"There you are! I told you not to leave. Let's go," his voice sounded firm, and he pulled the omega along, but he suddenly resisted.

"Have we met?" The stranger's voice was deliberately calm, not a muscle twitching. Irritation was slowly boiling inside Jungkook. He was trying to help, and this idiot didn't understand!

The guards, noticing the second thief, immediately grabbed the alpha himself. He mentally cursed the naive omega and himself for the devil's will to help. He should have just kept going.

"Take your hands off him. I command you!" a firm voice suddenly rang out.
The Omega threw back his hood, and the guards froze in horror: the prince stood before them. While the guards froze in surprise, Jungkook extricated himself from their grasp. They bowed hesitantly, but the thief himself was in no hurry to leave. He stood with his head cocked to the side, staring intently at the stranger. He had never seen royalty so close before.

"What are you doing here, Your Highness?" he asked unexpectedly, wanting to maintain at least a minimal dialogue. A burning interest was clearly visible in his eyes.
