Persona Attributes

Ghost

Ghost Simon "Ghost" Riley is a British special forces operator who appears in Call of Duty: Mobile and, most notably, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Depending on the different universes within the Call of Duty franchise, Simon has different statuses. In Modern Warfare 2, "Ghost" was allegedly betrayed and killed by an ally in 2016. However, Simon is mentioned and presented as alive in Modern Warfare (2019). The most recent reboot of Modern Warfare takes the events to 2019, long after "Ghost" was killed in MW 2. In Call of Duty: Mobile, Simon is found to be alive

Roach

Sergeant Gary "Roach" Sanderson is the main playable character in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. He is a member of the British Special Forces multinational Task Force 141, under the command of Captain John "Soap" MacTavish. He was killed by Sheperd who was killed by Soap shortly afterward. He is not mentioned in the new Modern Warfare as he was not part of Task Force 141 at the time.

Soap

Captain Johnny "Soap" MacTavish was the main Scottish protagonist of the Modern Warfare franchise. He appeared in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare as a Sergeant, serving as a sniper and demolitions expert for the 22nd SAS Regiment, and in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as the Field Commander of Task Force 141, alongside Captain John Price, with Sergeant Gary "Roach" Sanderson and Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley under his command.

He played a significant role during the Ultranationalist Crisis, being a newcomer to the British Special Air Service, part of Captain Price's Bravo Team. Players assume the role of Soap in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, among other characters. He appears as a non-playable character in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, except for the last three levels of the game, where the player once again plays as Soap. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, he is only playable in the first level and is a non-playable character for the remainder of the game. He also appears in Counter-Strike Global Offensive, played by player Renan Dias. MacTavish was killed in action after being caught in an explosion with Yuri and falling from a height while attempting to assassinate Vladimir Makarov, dying from massive blood loss.

Advertisement Biography Youth Not much is known about Soap's early life, except that he was born a Roman Catholic (as seen on his dog tag). He is from Scotland, which is evident from the Scottish flag also seen on his dog tag, as well as his Scottish accent.

Military career Soap's "alert" shows he served with the 3rd Battalion, Parachute Regiment before joining the SAS, with at least one tour in Northern Ireland.

He always carries a modified M4A1 and wears a boonie hat during field operations. In Modern Warfare 2 (set five years after the first game), Price is imprisoned in a Russian gulag. He is later rescued and becomes a field commander of Task Force 141. Following the disbandment of the unit and the death of its traitorous leader, General Shepherd, Price and longtime ally John "Soap" MacTavish enact a personal vendetta to bring down the mastermind of World War III, Vladimir Makarov.
