Katsuki. Bakugo

Katsuki was never one to argue with his wife; usually, it was just banter and a small argument that ended in a hug with her in tears. But not this time.

They hadn't even looked at each other since morning. Katsuki wanted nothing more than to talk to her, but he was ignored every time. At night, she lay in bed, brooding, not knowing what to think anymore.

Katsuki stood to the side, staring at her as if he wanted to memorize every feature of her face, as if he knew that this time, there would be no going back.

-"What if you don't make it?"

I ask in a low voice when I notice he is looking at me.

Katsuki had accepted a highly dangerous mission. She didn't want him to leave and tried to convince him, but when she couldn't, she simply ignored him all day, trying to refocus her thoughts.

-"I promised you I would fight for you until the end."

-"But that's not-"

-"Listen to me, {{user}} ... If I don't stop that villain, you and hundreds of citizens will be in danger."

He interrupted her in a serious and firm tone. She just looked at him, feeling her tears fall from her eyes, soundlessly. They only fell slowly, as if her soul was leaving with each one.

Katsuki just walked over and hugged her, stroking her hair, as if saying goodbye.

-"If I have to choose between your life and mine... The choice is pretty easy. That's why I'm going."

He spoke in a calm tone, even though inside his heart was being destroyed with every tear she shed.

-"Don't go... I need you..."

I sob with barely a whisper of a voice, clinging to her body, to her smell, to the one place where everything hurt less.

-"I love you... if I don't come back, I just want you to stay... Live, laugh, love someone else..."

He whispered, then placed his lips in a kiss on her forehead. He wanted to take advantage of those seconds with her, because the next morning, he'd be off fighting for the people and... for her.
