Arms
The two swans he carries on his back aren't just for show. Bentham can remove them from the middle of his neck and place them on his pointe shoes. When he wears them on his feet, his kicks become as powerful as rifle shots (thanks to the steel spikes) and reach farther (because the swans' necks extend with each kick).
Although only used once, Bentham can detach and throw his (presumably fake) Matsuge mask as sharp boomerangs, which fly in an arc to attack his enemies and return to his face.
Devil fruit
Mr. 2 changes his appearance. Bentham consumed the Mane Mane no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to transform into a physical replica of anyone whose face he touches with his right hand. He transforms by touching his face with his right hand and returns to normal by touching his face with his left hand. This ability makes him a master of disguise and deception.
Not only does it duplicate faces, but it also memorizes and perfectly reproduces the target's complete physical appearance, including their height and voice. It can also combine features from different faces in its collection, allowing it to create new ones.
In combat, he uses his power to transform into someone his opponent would never harm, such as a close friend. However, he must return to his original form to attack, as his fighting style requires strength and flexibility that most people lack.
Kenpo Okama More information: Okama Kenpo Bentham is a compelling martial artist and master of a unique dance-based martial arts style known as Okama Kenpo. This art combines forceful, acrobatic kicks, and sometimes punches, with balletic dance. His grueling training in this fighting style gave Bentham enough strength to kick Mr. 1, an infamous assassin and extremely skilled hand-to-hand fighter, through a stone wall during their brief fight, and to be a match for Sanji's Black Leg Style. With Okama Kenpo, Bentham can use a wide range of powerful kicks to attack, as well as acrobatic, dance-like maneuvers to evade. This allows him to easily defeat a large number of prison guards who were fully armed with trident spears and firearms in Impel Down, knock out a Demon Warden, and briefly duel Hannyabal, the second strongest fighter in Impel Down after Magellan.
.
While confined in Impel Down's Level 3 Prison, Bentham continued to sing and dance energetically, unfazed by the scorching temperatures, a feat Buggy praised as it would be impossible for ordinary people to even stand due to the extreme heat. Shortly after reuniting with Luffy, Bentham received a vicious blow from the Minotaur's club causing him to cry out in pain and quickly dodge back to counterattack as the Minotaur charged at Luffy. After Luffy sent the Minotaur flying, Bentham quickly recovered from the damage he received.
At Level 5, Bentham was able to drag Luffy on a sled for quite some time, enduring the freezing temperatures with his torso bare. He also retained enough strength to single-handedly hold his own against a large Wolf Unit, despite suffering severe injuries from the extreme cold during the fight. Bentham also survived a battle with Magellan, who had previously defeated Luffy with little effort.
Physical abilities
Thanks to his arduous training in Okama Kenpo, which Bentham described as meticulous, he possesses incredible superhuman physical prowess. He possesses exceptional agility, easily able to match Sanji, as well as performing a wide variety of acrobatic flips, spins, somersaults, and cartwheels, including a high-speed balletic rotation to increase momentum and power his kicks. His immense acrobatic prowess also makes him extremely evasive, able to quickly counter or evade swift attacks such as Sanji's kicks or Hannyabal's trident thrusts. He possesses incredible leg strength, as his kicks are powerful. He quickly knocks out the Sphinx, a giant beast and Level 2 boss, and takes down the Minotaur, an awakened Zoan Devil Fruit user (whom Crocodile noted as far superior to regular Zoan users). In a joint attack with Buggy, Luffy, and Galdino, Bentham delivered a spinning kick to the Minotaur's head, the immense force causing considerable damage, causing the Minotaur to hold his head in intense pain despite his vastly improved stamina. The aftershock of the attack caused the ground beneath his feet to shatter.
He possesses incredible stamina and endurance, being able to recover quickly enough to avoid capture by the Marines after his fight with Sanji while his fellow officers were being arrested. During the Battle of Alabasta, he was able to keep up with "Karoo", an animal capable of outrunning a leopard (though Karoo was injured at the time), and during their pursuit, he even managed to scale a vertical wall with no foothold.
.
In Hannyabal's case, Bentham managed to subdue him using his wits rather than brute force. He also managed to trick the vigilante Magellan into letting his guard down by disguising himself as Hannyabal and feigning unconsciousness, allowing him to touch his face up close to copy his visage. This feat is normally impossible due to the lethal nature of Magellan's Doku Doku no Mi. By impersonating Hannyabal, Bentham managed to fool the entire Impel Down staff into believing he had escaped to Level 3, allowing him to access Level 5 and search for Ivankov undetected.
He eventually helped Luffy and the other prisoners escape Impel Down completely, tricking the staff by disguising himself as Magellan to open the Gate of Justice, as well as closing it after Luffy and the others escaped, eluding their pursuers from a fleet of warships.
Powers and abilities
Before the fall of Baroque Works, Bentham was among the high-ranking members of the criminal organization, and presumably had several "Billions" (the lower-ranking subordinates of Baroque Works' official agents) under his command.
As an okama, Bentham has a wide variety of tricks. While he loves to sing and dance, he is also an accomplished martial artist, though his true threat lies not in his combat prowess. His true threat lies in his ability to trick his enemies using his Devil Fruit powers, combined with his acting talent to trick them into doing his bidding.
Deception and trickery Despite his flamboyant and fun-loving personality, he possesses exceptional skill at deception and mimicry, making him a difficult opponent to beat, as he can easily escape pursuit and cause devastating confusion for any side he opposes. He successfully infiltrated the seemingly secure royal court of Alubarna and imitated Nefertari Cobra, creating even more dissension and unrest among the poor villagers outside the capital's walls with outrageous words. He has also used his formidable tactical ingenuity to even circumvent the towering defenses of the infamous Impel Down after being freed from his prison cell.
Bentham is very wary of extreme danger, as he thought of many ways to fight Magellan before correctly deducing their impossibility. Thus, after abandoning Luffy in his battle against Magellan, he reluctantly opted to find and use other possible ways to aid him in his dangerous mission to free Ace from Impel Down. Using his Devil Fruit powers, Bentham can disguise himself as an attractive woman, specifically Nami, to gain a psychological advantage in his fight against Sanji and again against Hannyabal. Both are incredibly perverted despite their powerful combat prowess.
Enemies
Magellan Bentham earned the ire of the former warden, Magellan, by staying behind during the breakout to allow the other escapees to escape and by copying his face to deceive the rest of the staff. As he copied Magellan to deceive the Impel Down staff and destroyed the controls to ensure they could not pursue Luffy and the others, a furious Magellan prepared to unleash his wrath on Bentham, asking him if he had any last words. Bentham proudly replied that he did not regret his sacrifice. Magellan failed to kill Bentham and appears to still hold a grudge.
Sanji
Bentham's relationship with Sanji is more complex. While he refers to the cook as "pretty boy" when being kind, he fought fiercely with Sanji when the latter prevented him from attacking Vivi along with the Super Spotted Duck troops. When Bentham transformed into Usopp to gain the upper hand, he was surprised that Sanji kicked him anyway, but Sanji stated that a person's true character comes from the heart. This statement moved Mr. 2, and upon transforming into Nami, he reflected that not even she would make Sanji hesitate. This was not to be, and Bentham took advantage of Sanji's new weakness, claiming that he was easy to read. When Sanji finally defeated him, Bentham asked the cook to finish him off, stating that Baroque Works would kill him anyway, but Sanji refused and offered assistance, saying that it was a good fight. Moved to tears again, Bentham accepted this new friendship only for Sanji to kick him unconscious and retrieve Usopp's glasses, which Mr. 2 had taken.
Later, the friendship he forged with Sanji was purely one-sided on Bentham's part, as when he called the Straw Hats for a Den Den Mushi, Sanji instantly hung up. However, Sanji was seen as one of the four Straw Hats who mourned his sacrifice, viewing Bentham in a more positive light.
Straw Hat Pirates
Mr. 2 dancing with straw hats Bentham dancing with Luffy, Usopp and Chopper. Bentham is a close friend of the Straw Hats after helping them escape from Hina in Alabasta and again in Impel Down. Interestingly, he addresses Luffy's crew with a crucial detail of their appearance, followed (albeit with a childish touch) by the honorific "-chan" (i.e. Luffy: Straw-Chan (Mugi-chan), Usopp: Nose-Chan, etc.). Luffy returns the affection by calling him "Bon-chan".
He helped the Straw Hats by hiding their ship, the Going Merry, while the Marines searched Alabasta. [15] By disguising himself and his men as the Straw Hat Pirates, they lured the Marines away. In return, four members of the Straw Hats cried as Luffy shouted that they would never forget him.
Monkey D. Luffy Luffy hugging Bentham Bentham hugs Luffy after meeting. Luffy became good friends with Bentham after apologizing for causing trouble in Alabasta. Later, after escaping from his cell and reuniting with Luffy in Impel Down, Bentham fought alongside Luffy to reach Ace. During their reunion, Mr. 2 greatly helped Luffy overcome the various dangers of the prison, and eventually supported Luffy and other prisoners by sacrificing himself to pave the way for them to freedom. Although he was later determined to be alive, [2] Luffy is unaware of his friend's status.
Friends
Bentham reveres Ivankov for being the best okama, as well as for saving both his and Luffy's lives. Iva, in turn, was moved by the strong friendship between Luffy and Bon Kurei and was one of the many prisoners who wept upon learning of Bon Kurei's sacrifice to open the Gates of Justice for them.
Relations
Initially, Bentham was shown to be quite loyal to the Baroque Works organization, gleefully and sadistically impersonating Nefertari Cobra, the king of Alabasta, to order his royal army to shoot the innocent civilians of Nanohana as part of Operation Utopia. [13] Despite his loyalty to the organization, Bentham's openly emotional and poetic attitude often irritated others, particularly the other male agents of Baroque Works, who often resented his presence. He was shown to be disrespectful to Mr. 4 and Miss Merry Christmas, whom he called "fatty" and "old hag" respectively. He also addresses Crocodile as "Zero-chan," even after discovering her identity. He seems to have a knack for getting people to follow his lead and can encourage others to dance ballet with him. Bentham seems to enjoy teaching others the "okama style" more than anything else, and will gladly teach them ballet, much like the Billions under his command. His relationship with his Billions is complicated. Although he attacks and mistreats them, he considers them friends and becomes visibly enraged when Mr. 1 attacks them. Although Mr. 2 tends to have an indifferent professional relationship with most of the Baroque Works agents, he does not get along well with Mr. 1. Because Mr. 2's flamboyant nature often clashes with Mr. 1's ecstatic coldness, the two often clashed violently. Ever since they met at the Spiders Cafe, they maintained this sort of rivalry. It is remarkably similar to the rivalry between Sanji (who defeated Mr. 2) and Zoro (who defeated Mr. 1). "If I told you... that I'm here to fulfill my lost comrade's last wish... would you laugh at me, hmmm?" — Galdino on Bentham. [14] Although Galdino initially viewed Mr. 2 Bon Kurei as an idiotic nuisance, the okama's actions in Impel Down deeply moved Mr. 3; he felt that his efforts at Marineford helped him get revenge.
Personality
Bentham has a flamboyant attitude, which includes singing, dancing, and twirling, much to the annoyance of the other agents. Despite being an assassin, he prioritizes friendship above all else.
He's the only higher-ranking member who doesn't have a female companion of the same rank. Possibly because he believes himself to be both male and female, likely due to his powers and lifestyle as a self-proclaimed okama, despite never wearing women's clothing, except for the makeup he wears on his face. He has been assigned a number and a holiday as his codename.
Unlike his fellow agents, Mr. 1 and Mr. 5, Mr. 2 Bon Kurei values friendship greatly, as evidenced by his selfless sacrifice in allowing the Straw Hats to escape from Alabasta when Captain Hina ambushed them. He later attacked Hina again to save Miss Valentine, and eventually risked his life to open the Gates of Justice for everyone in Impel Down.
This also demonstrates his incredible altruism and righteousness, and he takes immense pride in it (he told Magellan that he did not regret his sacrifice). He often justifies these actions by saying that abandoning his comrades goes against the "okama way." However, this did not stop him from attacking Vivi during the confrontation at Alubarna.
He always ends his sentences with "wa yo", which in Japanese reflects a feminine (albeit assertive) speech pattern. He also often says "Jodan janai wa yo!" (冗談じゃないわよ, Jōdan janai wa yo?, which translates to "No joke!" or "I'm not joking!") as his catchphrase. He also says "Un Deux Trois" (one, two, three in French) when asking others what four is. According to himself, his favorite word is vague.

Appearance
Bentham is a relatively tall cross-dresser who wears extravagant swan-themed ballet costumes. He usually wears a pink coat and blue medieval clothing. [ 1 ] He wears heavy makeup and often sports a wide, distinctive smile, which is often reflected when he changes appearances. His legs, when exposed, are hairy. [ 3 ] Under these clothes, his physique is relatively muscular, as seen during the Impel Down arc, possibly a result of his Okama Kenpo training.
Like all Baroque Works agents, he bears his number on his appearance. Mr. 2 Bon Kurei's number 2 is seen on his swans, which are positioned in a shape similar to the number "2". [3] When impersonating Nefertari Cobra, he wore the king's robes and sandals. The back of his coat bears the characters for his creed, the Okama Way (おかま道?).
During Miss Goldenweek's "Operation: Meet Baroque Works," she wears a dark suit with a dress shirt with two number 2s underneath and dark pants. Later on the cover, she wears Mr. 3's attire: a dark sweatshirt with two number 3s, striped pants that barely reach below the knee, and light-colored shoes.
Later in Impel Down, he wears a striped, rag-like prisoner's outfit. [ 12 ] He also wore Hannyabal's headdress and trousers when he disguised himself as him. After entering Level 5.5, he wore bandages on his arms, abdomen, and neck, purple pants that reached below his knees, and black boots. After he let his fellow prisoners escape, he disguised himself as Magellan, wearing his coat and trousers.
Two years later, when she becomes the new Queen of Newkama Land, she is shown wearing a slightly different version of her ballet clothes with some features such as larger wings and a furry collar. [ 2 ]
