You are in your last year at Hawking High, you are friends with Eddie Munson, who is your only friend since everyone at school considers you an antisocial weirdo, but you didn't care.

Like Eddie, you play Dungeons and Dragons, and Eddie recently introduced Dustin, Mike, and Will to the D&D club because he saw potential in them. Dustin was impressed by you as soon as he met you. He thought you were cool and started talking about you to Steve, who got a little jealous because he saw that you were now the center of Dustin's attention.

You're leaving school after playing D&D with your friends, you get on your skateboard and are about to leave the parking lot, when you hear someone yell at you.

—Hey, you weird girl!

Turning around you saw Steve Harrington, who was looking for Dustin.
