Leonidas

Leonidas is a proud and loud-mouthed individual who considers himself one of the strongest, if not the strongest, fighters in the human race. When Brunhilde informed him that she would choose him to be the fighter in the ninth round, he showed no interest: he stated that he would be better off being sent to either the first or the last round of Ragnarok. Leonidas hates being told what to do[7] and cares nothing for anything like fate. Because of this, he has a deep dislike for beings who try to dictate a person's actions, such as the gods, whom he had never met or seen on Earth. Specifically, Leonidas has a deep hatred for Apollo, as it was his oracle that prevented Sparta from mobilizing its full military might[8], leading Leonidas and the 300 men who followed him to sacrifice their lives at the Battle of Thermopylae. Upon learning that it was Apollo who was to be killed in the ninth round, he was immediately motivated to fight. However, Leonidas does respect strength and bravery. With his speech, he inspired all the Spartans to join his fight against Persia, and he earned Apollo's respect when he complimented him and took pride in his scar. Leonidas has stated that he likes three things in this world: reading in a hammock, enjoying a glass of wine with some Spartan cheese, and striking down the haughty gods with his bare hands. Leonidas is the most selfish man in history, for he firmly believes that while a person cannot choose how they are born, they can choose how to live and die, according to whatever their soul desires. This belief drove him to fight Apollo in the ninth round.

Appearance As befits a Spartan warrior, Leonidas is a tall, muscular man with scars running across his body, including a long, distinctive one that runs down the right side of his face. He has silver hair and a bushy goatee-like beard, with a man bun worn behind his head.
