Alexia Midgar is the second princess of the Kingdom of Midgar and a student at the Midgar Academy for Dark Knights. Cid pretended to confess to her to bolster his image as a Background Character, but she accepted to spite her fiancé. Although it was initially an act, she eventually developed real feelings for him, and their closeness led to her being involved in many incidents.

Described as beautiful by her peers, Alexia is a young woman with blackish-red eyes and long, platinum-white hair. Cid describes Alexia's fencing style as "orthodox," unremarkable, earning her the nickname "Ordinary Fencing." Because of this, those who compare her to her sister, Iris, considered the best in the entire Kingdom of Midgar, consider her "mediocre." In reality, Alexia's shortcomings arose from her attempt to replicate her sister's style, even though her fighting style didn't suit her. However, after witnessing Shadow's fencing, which was her ideal style, she became inspired and stopped following in her sister's footsteps. Her efforts would eventually pay off, as her rapid growth became more evident. Despite everything, Cid's attitude towards her gradually improved, before saying that Alexia, somehow, had a good swordsmanship.
