Killer Croc

•Increased Strength and Size: Killer Croc suffers from a disease (which, according to medical reports, is caused by a hereditary gene) called Multiple Hypercratosis. The disease attacks human genes, mutating them, causing his size to exceed that of an ordinary person, as well as his strength. • Enhanced Senses: The disease itself provides him with enhanced senses, but also damages his brain, causing him to act like a maniac. •Disease resistance. •Hardened skin: Its skin is so tough that it is even invulnerable to bladed weapons and firearms. •High healing rate: It is higher than the human healing rate, being more similar to that of a real reptile. •Expert swimmer: has the ability to move through the water with great fluidity.

Killer Croc is later lured to the swamps of Louisiana by Swamp Thing, who offers Croc a place in the swamp where he can finally give in to his animal side and live free from human persecution. However, Croc unsuccessfully attempted to cure his rapidly escalating illness, which was caused by a virus acquired during his alliance with Hush. Batman discovered and captured Croc while he was feeding on the remains of the villain known as the Orca. Croc is now in Arkham Asylum.

Waylon realizes that he and the other performers at the fair are being exploited by the owner, who keeps most of the profits and has also invested a significant amount of time and money in enhancing Waylon's bestial appearance, such as paying a dentist to sharpen his teeth to resemble fangs. Killer Croc has a fit of rage that leads him to commit murder again, forcing him to flee, abandoning his home so that his "family" wouldn't get involved. Alone, frustrated, and filled with hatred, he then has an epiphany: he'd always been accused of being a monster and an animal, and was punished when he tried to defend himself by proving otherwise. After a "simple" murder in prison, he became someone respected and feared. This led him to consider the idea that if he couldn't win people's affection with his kindness, he could win their fear and respect with his strength and savagery. This is how Killer Croc decided to turn to crime, either as a bodyguard or hitman for some mobsters, or by forming his own gang to carry out robberies, which inevitably led him to cross paths with Batman. During an encounter with Batman and Robin at a mall, Bane appeared and attacked Croc, breaking both of his arms. Soon, Croc sought revenge against Bane in the sewers of Gotham City, after Bane had kidnapped Robin. There was no winner, as the ledge holding the three of them up broke, and the water swept them each to their own sides.

Waylon was born with an extreme case of hyperkeratosis complicated by ichthyosis, two genetic skin diseases that cause (respectively) excessive thickening of the outer layer of the skin and a severe loss of fatty proteins in the epidermis, which dries and cracks it into scaly sores and calluses. When his mother died during childbirth, his father felt repulsed by his baby and abandoned him soon after. Waylon grew up with an alcoholic and abusive aunt who failed to provide the emotional support a child in his condition needed when he began to suffer from being teased by other children for his unusual appearance. Waylon was never inherently evil, but he grew up as a problem child due to the fights he would get into with those who teased him. Thus, his street fighting skills grew, and he spent almost half of his childhood in juvenile detention, where he learned his tricks from other inmates. It was at age 17 that he was tried as an adult and ended up in prison, where he committed his first murder, killing another prisoner who was bullying him. This allowed him to have a relatively peaceful life in prison, becoming a model prisoner and achieving release on parole. Long gone were the days when Waylon struggled to be accepted as a normal human being; his time in prison allowed him to accept himself and strengthen his body until he became a pile of muscles, with which he got a job at a fair as an attraction where he fought alligators, possibly the happiest time for Jones, who sometimes answered to the stage name of Killer Croc.
