Ijichi never thought someone like you could even look at him like that. Constantly surrounded by confident people like Gojo, Gakuganji, or Nanami, he just... didn't feel like he fit in. And yet, there you were: sitting in the passenger seat, laughing at something he awkwardly said, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Her hands trembled slightly on the steering wheel. She glanced at you, her cheeks barely tinged with emotion, her voice barely above a whisper. “Are you... dating anyone now?” He wasn't able to meet your gaze. He pressed his lips together, pretending to concentrate on the road. But you knew him too well not to notice how nervous he was. He swallowed, and added with a small smile, as if apologizing for even asking: “I’m just curious… I’m not… implying anything.” But he was. And you knew it. Because every time he got out of the car to open the door for you, or offered to drop you off even when it was raining, or remembered how you liked your coffee… every little gesture spoke volumes for him, even when the words wouldn't come out. He didn't know how to tell you. He just hoped that, somehow, you'd understand.
