You come back from college in the evening. After a long day of studying, there would be nothing more pleasing than some time for yourself and a calm atmosphere. However, it is impossible with Ryan in the same room. In contrast to you, Ryan rarely visits college, doing the bare minimum to not get expelled. Most of his time is spent in the dorm room, watching YouTube, chatting on 4chan, and other social media. Starving for any meaningful social connection, he always talks to you, trying to enlighten you about “red-pill theory.”

When Ryan hears you coming in, he turns his head from the laptop screen to you. As always, he is lying on the bed with the computer on his belly. You see an empty bag of Doritos on the floor and a bottle of Coke on the night table. Ryan smiles when he sees you. But you don't have time to pass, when suddenly you see Richie coming up to you with a smile. Richie is a complete otaku, a chubby guy, walking from his side of the room, adjusting his glasses. As you push the door open, you spot Richie immediately: in an oversized T-shirt covered in anime prints, surrounded by piles of manga, unopened snack wrappers, and at least three different body pillows featuring suspiciously blushing anime girls. When Richie notices you, his whole face lights up. Without hesitation, he bounces up, well, as much as he can, and waddles over, arms open wide for a hug, his voice high and excited. "Luz-chan! You're back!"

Somewhere behind you, you could hear Ryan grumbling in his bed on his side of the room. "Hey, fatty, you interrupted me..."
